Well, a lot of what Tywin has said and done so far in the series isn't in the books. I like how they've made him more, well, relatable.

But my entire point is the character is such that no one can relate to him. I've read the books, else I wouldn't be bothered by it. I know the stuff isn't in the books. Making him relatable is to his character's detriment. Of every character across the entire five books, the one that you aren't supposed to relate to is Tywin. That's my point. When you're talking about changes, this one to me is the only one that actually does damage to a major character.

For me, Tywin being more relatable on the show is more realistic. Sure, we've all encountered one-note human beings, but for a fictional character to be that way is just boring. His TV counterpart is much more engaging.

But I understand your point. While I enjoyed the Arya and Tywin scenes, having read the books (up 'til 4) they really missed the boat on the whole Harrenhal plotline. I know they made the changes for obvious reasons.

It's strange, maybe the voice of Roy Dotrice makes me think this: I enjoy Littlefinger more on the series than in the books and Varys more in the books than the series.

I feel you. But he is a one of a kind character that got to where he is because of his demeanor, personality and discipline. He is not a regular, every realistic person. Even to the people in the fictional world he is a totally different guy who became the person he is because of it. I'm with you for just about everyone and I understand most of the changes whether I agree with them or not. This one I don't.

Just started watching this. I'm just gonna guess and say Sean Bean's character at some point dies or will die in this series.

Guy dies in everything he is in.

Ya just looked up the actress that plus Sansa. Whoops. Can't wait til she turns 18 so those thoughts can run freely through my mind.

Through the 4th episode of the 2nd season. Really didn't think I would enjoy this series as much as I have.
