Charles Dance not being nominated as Tywin is criminal. The Emmys are much too repetitious in who they nominate.

Finished both seasons. Man, I love this show. Sucks we have to wait until next March for more.

I wanted to see that little prick Joffrey die. Oh well, I assume it's gonna happen sooner or later. Love so many of the characters on this show. The acting is superb. That little girl who plays Arya is fantastic, and of course Dinklage is the man.

I've never been much into fantasy, and I'm not a big reader. For you guys that are into the genre, any other movies (I've seen LOTR; I like this much more) or series anyone would highly recommend?

This wait is nothing compared to the wait of the new season of Luther. It's already been over a year since the last season ended and it will be atleast another 4-7 months before the next season starts.

Agreed.

Almost finished with the fifth book. Looks like the show is going to keep solid pace.

Every single one of them is exhausting. I can imagine taking a break after Storm. If you're going to take one, that's where to take it. I read them all too fast, but I had to know what was happening next. There's so much I just blurred through.

I started Game of Thrones in March, finished A Dance With Dragons in July, with the whole Hunger Games trilogy between Clash & Storm. I'm not Joe Reader, either.

I restarted the first book about two months ago, going through them all carefully now and using the awesome Westeros Map app. Honestly if you have any interest and $5 isn't a ton of money to you, that app with the in-store purchases is an absolutely must have companion to reading the series.

It's called Westeros Map. Dark brown Westeros surrounded by tan sea in the icon. It's free to have just Westeros, but if you want Essos, and detailed city/castle maps, there is an additional fee. There is battle information as well as movable character icons, but you don't need to have them active or click on them as they are very spoilery

Oh shit. Probably because of their map book that came out. I have it, the maps are amazing, but not portable.
