This is rivaling the infamous week before the Super Bowl in Dallas a few years ago.

My area got 2.5" of ice with a possibility for more tonight. It's all sheeted ice that continues to stay frozen and will until Monday or even Tuesday, when we're expected to break the freezing mark locally.

The south DOES freak out about cold weather occurrences way too much, but this one may be justifiable. If it were snow it'd be a lot easier to work around.

Yeah, for a guy from Michigan, it's hilarious to watch Atlanta (or similar geographic city) SHUT DOWN over an inch or two of snow

It's 76 right now and no cloud in the sky. I love FL, but ask me in August when it is 89 and it feels like 110 and I'm sweating like a hooker in Salt Lake.

I do miss living in Massachusetts. It's good to freeze your balls off once in awhile. I'll tell you what, I've been in Florida for 15 years, and I'll never get used to heat and the "hot" of this area. Luckily we have this a few hours away:

The Rainbow River. It is amazing, always cool at 73 and it's the freshest water you'll ever drink compared to a mountain sourced spring.

It rained last night and now tonight and tomorrow night it's going to be near freezing temps again. I laugh at this weather.

70 yesterday. Rainy, windy and cold (40) for a 5k race this morning. It was miserable.

I've got a straight -2 here & it's snowing like a bastard. My wife is still at work & I'm home with both our daughters. One is asleep, one is playing with dolls & old dad is rocking to some NYE phish and strongly considering a beer or two...

I worked for USF for a year and lived in Tampa (my parents actually have a winter home in trinity now).

I could never live there again. I need seasons. The summer is so god awful and the winter is dry and everything turns brown. Not for me

I completely agree Mr. O'Shea. I miss the fall like crazy every year. So, in Sept. I got back home to Massachusetts b/c i won't do it in January. (Late October b/c of the World Series )

My first summer in Tampa Bay was tough. When I did the 311 Pow Wow a few years back, I was the hottest I ever been. it was 95, but felt like 115. Sticky. Sweaty. I sat sit and not moved in my camping spot in NE Florida. Insane. After the shows we hit the Rainbow River. It felt so good. Man.

I want to move, but it is so cheap to live down here. That's why i stay.
