Clients, or more importantly, people on the other side of a matter who you've torched in court (not attorney-wise, but party-wise). I've gotten more than a few veiled threats over the years from parties on the other side. Sometimes people get pissed when they have to fork over money for something that they felt like they were justified in doing (more often than not, wrongfully believing such a thing)

Plus, friends and family who run into you and just have "one quick question" about anything and everything, kind of blatantly ignoring the fact that this is how you get by for a living and make your income. I don't go to my dentist friends for "one quick filling" every now and again. So I see where he's coming from.

I'd be sympathetic, but you guys chose to be filthy lawyers so you kind of deserve it.

NO. I hate stupid commercials and billboards. Make your money from reputation, or simple ads/billboards, not something goofy and unprofessional (IMO).

Fair enough.

It does get awkward though.

No. He did order a pizza and then walk around the parking lot talking to it. Then went to his room a little after 1am and called to ask for a 4am wake up call. Then in the morning walked up to my boss and said he didn't even remember coming back to the hotel the night before

Make sequel to Waiting. Combine elements from the hotel, add retail and restaurant stuff and BAM!!!! Just need a catchy title

It's fun to laugh about the situations though. I guess that's why we all talk shit about customers in the back room.

Although, this is a DMB board...it's likely that a lot of dudes here loved/would have loved Dane Cook.

hell, Brandon has written some of his trademark way too long posts trying to defend the guy and say "he's really not that bad".

and i think someone else said they don't "get" Louis CK but find Dane Cook perfectly acceptable.

it's things like that which make me irritable.
