I have never agreed with you more. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. I'm sure we'll all still be here complaining in 2029 though...

Just saying...
Although, none are as powerful as Carter needs to be. Should be interesting to see how he adjusts over the next few tours.

Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart also need to badly retire. Dead & Co would be so much better with a drummer like Joe Russo. Just listen to the difference between JRAD and Deadco. Its night and day.

Agreed but yeah, I think the only way they aren't a part of D&C is if they keele over.

I've been talking to friends about this for 3 years. They are so bad! JRAD is amazing, maybe slightly too fast, but man would I wish Dead co. would pick up the pace. The drumming is laughable. And I love John and Bob together. They have a great band, Oteil is clearly great.. the drumming is brutal. Wish they'd give Chimenti more of a prominent sound. The Eyes of the World jams are the best.

It's been a cold, windy, rainy and downright dreary day here and I fell in love with Busted Stuff (the album) again. Felt a joy listening to this record periodically looking out the window at the raw weather yet having this feeling of warmth and content from Busted Stuff to Bartender, just made me happy today. Never revered this record as some triumph, and still don't, but something really struck me today when each song played through. For some reason I don't think I ever appreciated Busted Stuff more than I do right now.

I remember going to Tower Records and picking that up at midnight.

Tough at the time to give it any real accolades because of the closeness to LWS, but 2002 was such a refreshing touring year.

It's a nearly-great album. Lws spoiled us.

Grey Street, Raven and Digging a Ditch are greatly improved. The title song, Kit Kat Jam and Grace is Gone are just as good as the Lws versions. Wayg is weaker than YNK obviously, but I still appreciate the new songs, especially YNK which has become my favourite DMB song over the years. And Captain, Big Eyed Fish and Bartender are definitely better w/ Lillywhite.

Too bad they couldn't agree on a version of JTR to include.

Busted Stuff is a well-rounded album.

Ditch on LWS is untouchable. Wrong.

BS would undoubtedly be more highly regarded had we never heard LWS. It’s impossible not to compare the two, but BS is a good album.

Yeah. I heard BS before the LWS (aside from BEF). As such, I love BS. It got me hardcore into the band.

I cant speak for the rest of the tour, but i think Dave and Tim definitely played a lot of songs they hadnt been playing for quite a while (pig being one of them)
