NBA Thread
I know the season is almost over, but basketball has become an all year spectacle so here's a thread to discuss all things NBA.
Warriors are just too good, guessing at best the Cavs squeak one out at home. Series will be no longer than 5 games. Kind of a shame that a great Game 1 ended so unceremoniously. Cavs (or LeBron basically) gave their absolute best shot and it was all for naught.

I’m biased, but kind of a shame??? For anyone who thinks games are fixed, game one shows they are not. Not that the cavs have a shot anyway.
I’m a big cavs/nba fan, so thanks for making the thread.

There is only so much one player can do... scoring 51 and still losing because JR is a dumbass had to kill LeBron... He did what he wanted to do in Cleveland (bring them a title), time to move on to the 76ers and team up with Simmons and Embiid

Game 1 made me believe that games are fixed.

I say it's a shame because I wanted a competitive series and they lost a game they should've won.

Out of all sports, the NBA just seems to have wayyyy too much gray area in what is and isn’t a foul, and it leads to weird flows from time to time through games.
Personally, I have a hard time enjoying a sport with so much stoppage due to enforcing penalties. Give ‘em leather helmets and let them play.

I was being sarcastic. It’s terrible that the officials made a call that’s literally never been made before on review ever. That was the turning point of the game. Officials should be invisible, let the players decide the biggest games of the year.

Why? Everyone is predicting a sweep. If the nba wanted to drag this out seven games to maximize revenue, the officials don’t overturn that call and let the Cavs steal one.

Guys, in my opinion, all big sports games are fixed (not by the players themselves, but through the officials). It's a real shame to be honest, but money talks in all every aspect of this world.

I feel bad if you watch sports through the prism that the refs are fixing every game in every sport

I mean you're acting like if the Cavs won Game 1 they'd have a chance or something. They had no chance in this series, they're an absolutely awful team that didn't deserve to be there. Lebron literally carried the entire team on his back the entire playoffs. Too many top players on Golden State to beat with one guy. He's literally getting double teamed by Durant and Iguodala all game. I think point spreads in the NFL can definitley be affected by offiicals, especially when the game comes down to a field goal or a touchdown--they can call penalties to make it harder for the team to cover. But even then, there's far more factors involved in these games than the referees. If you're beating a team of 20 points or more...the officials can't help you win.

GS sweeps Cavs!!! Yay? what a zzzz fest. In terms of the Warriors, I've never in my life seen a team that can be so fundamentally strong, yet be so god damn sloppy. Two of the GS/Rockets games, I felt like I was watching a high school game. I mean, good for Golden State, but they're just not....likeable. I don't know what it is. But I am happy for Steve Kerr.

Had to get up way too early to watch much of the game, did the Cavs try at all? 13 points in the 3rd!?

I watched on and off and it seemed as mailed in as a Wednesday night DMB show in the middle of nowhere

So supposedly Lebron plYed with a broken hand in games 2-4, that explains a lot. Still wouldn’t have mattered but could have made it more interesting
