Come Tomorrow (LP 9) Album Discussion Thread (June 8, 2018)

Pretty sure this is the confusion Cap$haw was hoping to stir up in the race for “#1”

Did we ever figure out what the phone call was from at the end of Samurai? If not, I swear my wife and I think we found what it's from

It was answered somewhere by Dave or John or somebody after the album came out. I can't remember where, but it was definitely answered, and I believe it was the receptionist at the studio or something like that.

Not sure if any of you watch Wentworth but the phone and at one point someone answering hello is identical to that little studio call. I'm sure it's not that, but we both looked at each other and were like Samurai??

So yes, I think, as fans of the band, what we actually think of the music is more relevant than how well the album sells. I know you can't participate in that conversation, but that's your problem, not ours.
The live audience continues to define, but you fail to make a distinction between concert audience and album audience.

Also, if no one cares about sales, why do people keep pointing to #1 debut? Sure seems like most people only want to talk about good news and ignore the bad news. Not that they don't care about the news.

It's not good considering they tried to give away 400,000 and moved less than three quarters of what they offered to give away for free to their own fans.

There's pretty much no profit there whatsoever.

I just dont care if it sold well or didnt. What is that supposed to tell me, they arent as popular anymore? Good thing you pointed that out, I had no idea.

Just like I dont care how much money a movie makes. If I like it, great, if not then I dont keep talking about it.

And I feel like this tour has sold pretty well, no?

Eager to see the stats when billboard or whatever posts it, but I'm under the impression ticket sales were pretty strong.
