According to my sources, they just couldn't find a part in DOTHS for the Ladies.

Call it "The World Of Tomorrow", which references the last two album titles and sounds cool.

And put audio from this on it:

Call it whatever they want, just release something like this.

Ah, the creativity this board could come up with compared to the band....

So many goddam fucking awesome opportunities squandered by this squad. So sad.

Random question. I purchased tickets for this summer through the Warehouse, so I assume I have a copy of the album due to me. But, is/was there a way for me to download SamCop when it was released?

Come to think of it . . . I don't think I've seen anything at all from the Warehouse that says I get a copy of the album alongside the tickets. Nothing when I checked out, nothing in my order confirmation.

Youíll get the album. Youíre on your own on the Sam Cop single.

Yes. In a bit of cross platform promotion, DMB has arranged for a copy of Samurai Cop to be automatically downloaded to your Microsoft Zune.

Hereís what I donít get.

Suppose they swapped Canít Stop with Sugar Will, Bob Law with Shotgun, and whatever other cheesy craptacular song with Crazy Easy.

Who, exactly, is disappointed? The fans that like those shitty tunes will like ANYTHING the band releases. So why not release what are clearly the best/most interesting songs knowing everyone wins?

The band wins because people will actually LIKE the album and itíll sell better, hardcores win for obvious reasons, DMBFamily wins because DMB released something, anything.

Come on, guys.

Because it’s obvious that Dave likes the songs he put on the album. He also thinks that Sister is one of the best songs he’s ever written. His view of his music and our view of his music are vastly different.

I think there's an additional wrinkle or two. It's not necessarily that Dave thinks these are the 14 (or whatever) best songs. It's also some, all, or none of:

1) the 14 best recordings (ie: they haven't gotten Bismarck right in the studio yet)

2) the 14 best versions (ie: he doesn't feel like they've captured sugar will the way he wants it to sound)

3) the 14 best selling songs (ie: adsr wouldn't be burning up the charts)

4) the 14 songs he thinks the fans want (can't stop)

5) the 11 best songs and three songs RCA demanded (or whatever)

6) the 14 songs the band wants to play this summer (having learned a lesson from dreams of our fathers)

I would agree I think songs like Shotgun and Sugar Will he probably aren’t finished either lyrically or some other aspect they just aren’t capturing.

Guess I should update this to include

7) the 14 songs that don't include a fetishistic sexual predator on the recordings.

I mentioned this in another thread, but if heís actually absent from the album doesnít that basically put the lie to the idea that the band is trying to push that they found out yesterday?

Its very suspicious. Though my position is I don't care about actual knowledge, they should have known.

Also, this list was entirely speculative, as I said, it could be some, all or none of these factors. But that definitely is a possible factor now.

Yup, just by any objective "reasonableness" standard. I mean, c'mon

If he isn't on the album, I think that would be enough to convince me they're lying, yeah.
