Listening to this one today. I wish Tim was just a touch higher in the mix, but I seriously love how this one sounds. The guitars have such a deep, warm tone.

Yeah no doubt. Seems like it was a planned thing or inside joke between him and Dave. Tims never played a solo anywhere close to how that one is ever or since. They probably thought it would be funny.

Love the slow down on Warehouse. I don't listen to very much D&T...

I highly doubt that's the case. I think they were just goofing around.

This is my vote also. There are so many other shows and times that are more fitting for snarking the crowd. He's a weird guy with a weird sense of humor. I think he just randomly was playing around and doesn't immediately think about how a solo in a fans' favorite song is interpreted, then or years later. It's an improvised Tim solo in a song, not an interview with Dave where there's no way to misinterpret a comment on a topic that he's been thinking about.

I think it's cynical to say "Tim Reynolds mocked a crowd with his solo." The sentence reads as such an unlikely statement.

Such a cool version. They nail that for how sped up they played it.

IIRC, there was an interview with Tim around the time of the release and he was specifically asked about the solo. From what I recall, he was very into Indian music and the solo was a nod to that in some way or another.

Either way, not my favorite work from him, but I suppose you take the good with the unusual with Tim.

There's very little over the years from Tim that I don't like. I can't imagine having any interest seeing this band again if he ever gives up the road. Just not my favorite moment from him.

The good overwhelmingly outweighs the "bad" for me
