I still think that Cville should have gotten the 2016 release though. It would have been fitting for the 100th live release. I'm sure that it will get released one day though.

Yeah you'd think we would have gotten a historic show for #100. First stadium show or bookend to live Trax 1, something like that.

I think the whole #100 thing is a little fuzzy in their eyes. I mean what is the exact list? The one I'm seeing on the Almanac only has 95 releases listed.

The one on the almanac hasnít been updated with any of this yearís releases. Iím pretty sure that Celluloid confirmed that theyíre considering this one #100, although he should please correct me if thatís incorrect.

LT43 was #100 if you count Bonnaroo and the Wolfgang's Vault show. Whatever the next one is after LT44 will be #100 if you don't count those two. I think, but Rob can probably confirm, that the people (person) who work for the band and give a shit about this kind of thing are considering LT43 to be #100.

So basically they don't give a shit or they would have used that to their advantage in some form of marketing

Is "we've released 100 of these" really a good marketing strategy anyway?

I have mixed feelings about this one - we get a very solid '16 show with an awesome setlist (I wish this was a better Last Stop though) and Carlos Malta. Recently and Cry Freedom are great inclusions on the bonus disc but the rest of it aside from BEF are puzzling inclusions. The new songs would have been better picks along with Warehouse Seek Up and LLD (ft. Malta) from N1.

Compared to the last show in C'Ville in 2010 I feel like this one lacked significance. We'll see how it holds up on official release, I'm definitely going to give it a shot.

exactly. They don't want you to pause and consider how many essentially same versions of songs like Satellite you have.

Could have done a release called DMB 100...

Although I'm looking forward to that release for DMB's 100 year anny in 2091.

It was known. I had conversations about it with them, and even discussed whether the Wolfgang's show should count or not. They chose not to market it, not sure why not. The decision ultimately isn't even theirs, it's MusicToday's. I know that they have specifically decided against mentioning sites' recommendations in a few cases. Jake had a bit to do with DMBlive25 and I'm guessing a few shows, I know what input we've given and it's just the direction. They have to approve all of that stuff.

A lot of what we blame the DMB / Warehouse camp for is actually decisions made by the overhead organization and the people directly involved in the weeds really do care.

For any bonus discs spanning entire tours, direct them to my “listening to every show” thread, haha....there are a few highlights that need a release.

I wonder which two out of the 3 shows referenced you were at.

I’m actually kind of excited about a blu ray, though. May have to buy that.

I actually went to both SPaC shows and CVille. I thought all 3 of those shows offered more interesting things to listen to than this gorge show. First off, they all have the new songs which would have been nice to hear SBDs of. CVille has the best Last Stop of the tour, SPAC has the best 41 and Seek Up of the tour imo. Has the same songs that gorge has but also stuff like So Right (which we don’t have a recent release of). I think the SPAC show would have Been geared toward a much better bonus disc. That being said I knew that they just recently release a SPAC show last year.

Not that this Gorge show is worse or anything it’s probablt really good. And it basically does offer a really good taste of what Summer 2016 was like. Has what we need. but I feel there was more variety of catlog and more interesting performances from the 3 shows I mentioned...especially CVille (first time bringing back Sexy MF in Jimi, hoe down in ants, debut of new songs, great span of the catalog and a one off special show.
