Was the stylus ok? Do you suggest any other ones?

If you still have the blue box then I'd forego getting any of the MOFI releases, the '78 AAA Blue Box pressings will be the ones to get unless you're seeking out mono, then you might be looking for the '82 or '86 Toshiba Japan AAA pressings. I saw a complete NM collection for $2,500; really sucks that it's so pricey.

I was going to say the RP1 would be an awesome entry level turntable as you asked about it earlier, but if you can pony up for an RP6 you will definitely be nipping upgradeitis in the bud.

Especially if you're trying to seek out the Classic Records 200g AAA releases, usually over $250/piece if they're still sealed. Look for 60s/70s pressings in VG+ condition and you'll find they're much more affordable.

Ive been collecting vinyls for awhile now. In December I upgraded my mini crappy Crosley player and got the Sony USB Turntable from Best Buy with The Sony Reciever. I got a pair of Polk Audio Bookshelf speakers on sale at the time for $50. (Usually $100) They are the best reviewed bookshelf speakers on the market for the value.

There is a local record store a couple miles from me that just opened up and they are fantastic!

[Only registered users can see links.] or Jupiter Records on Facebook.

Ive been collecting a lot of Random 70's-80's Movie soundtracks recently. Some of them are a pretty fun listen.

Yup, I have the Beatles Blue Box collection. I'm glad I went with these, rather ham the MOFI versions.

Regarding turntables, I eventually want to get a Rega RP6, in a few years when I get more money, but for right now I was thinking about getting this bundle:

That's a nice bundle. I bought that Denon for my daughter for Christmas. Did the research and felt that I got what I paid for.

So you didn't notice any of the negatives that people claim in online reviews?

People bitch about the fully automatic, but I think it's fine for a starter. The stylus was fine and it's a quality build from a respected manufacturer.

I was just about to pull the trigger on this one, but then I saw a vintage Thorens TD-126 for sale today. It's the one model that I have always wanted and for a great price. Tough decision now

The 2M Red is a very nice cartridge, but given the price they sell the Denon + 2M Red for compared to the Debut Carbon + 2M red I'd go with the Pro-Ject TT myself - [Only registered users can see links.]

I think you're getting more for your money when you compare manual TTs to automatic TTs at the same price level and it's really a doddle to change speeds or get up and raise your tonearm at the end of a record.
