Awesome show in DC last night. I didn't miss the keyboards at all. They seem to like playing here and the crowd was into the show from the start.

Highlight for me was this run:

Sequestered in Memphis
The Swish
The Sweet Part of the City
You Can Make Him Like You
Rock Problems
Magazines
Constructive Summer
Hot Soft Light
Chips Ahoy!

Spence, can you send me the B sides? Oh, and JV really is a little man.

craig is fucking perfect on that studio take of How A Resurrection Really Feels. so many awesome line readings in that one. the way he says "she was limping left on broken heels and she says 'father'..." kills me

That and the "blueblack ink... Damn right he'll rise again" are some of the best. I haven't actually gotten through the whole catalog yet because I keep getting stuck on a handful of songs at a time and not being able to move on

Charlemagne In Sweatpants is an underrated gem, imo. the last few lines are some of my all time favorites.

When we left we were defeated and depressed
And when we were arrived we were rippin' high
We had a gun in the glovebox
We had some sweet stuff stuffed into our socks
And Jesus Christ in all his glory.

Nice. I was going to go see THS in NYC until I found out it was a solo acoustic show... which I'm sure would be cool in itself but he's playing with a bunch of other clowns I have no interest in seeing, especially not for the price and hassle of going into the city.

I'm pretty indifferent after a couple of listens. Not bad, not great
