it is going to be 2 discs.

so 10 discs total in this entire compilation.

once these are uploaded, i am hoping to put a torrent of it all up. just waiting on a definitive thumbs up from dreamingtree staff.

It carried into his playing in later years, but it was always there in the early days.

Jeff can play with sweetness, with a certain amount of soft emotion, but he has more fire. Always has been that way. He has an ability to replicate some of Roi's moments, but that's not Jeff. What he does on Jimi Thing, YMDT, and Squirm, that's Jeff. And Roi never would have played like that.
I agree with most of this. No doubt Coffin's technical prowess outmatches Leroi's by a bit. The only thing I disagree with is that Coffin has a better ear. Having a great ear for music isn't just simply being able to play anything you hear. It's also that innate ability to know what works. Sometimes that means pushing the music, and sometimes that means showing restaint within the music. I think Leroi had a much better ear in that sense.

can't end a LeRoi comp without a little DMB! yes, it is attached to the last track, 36 seconds after it ends. it's a pretty haunting version of blue water and the perfect way to end this compilation.

once i hear from a few more people over at dreamingtree.org that this is ok to torrent, it will be up over there. i will post the folder and file structure for those that would like to jump on and help seed. there were a few files that i fixed/changed and you will need to delete those and get them again, but i can provide all the other info you will need. it will also be posted in the torrent body as well.

and for anyone curious:

on disc 8, the hidden track is 34 seconds after the last song (attached)
on disc 10, the hidden track is 36 seconds after the last song (attached)

it felt like the only appropriate way to do it.

I'm just curious, what would be their reasons for not allowing it?
