Had a really nice day today. Got to see a couple of good friends that I hadn’t seen in a decade and hang out with another that I hadn’t seen in four years. There isn’t much better than that.

This new mix is interesting. Almost feels like a different album. But I suppose that's the point?

I think sometime this next week I’m going to sit down and do a track-by-track comparison. I’m really looking forward to breaking it down.

It's a headscratcher of a choice. I prefer the original version. It sounds more organic whereas this mix is kinda sterile. Still, it's Tom Waits so I'm not complaining too loudly.

I'm waiting until I can buy a copy to listen to the rest of it. From what I've heard so far from other reviewers, the singles are the weakest part of the thing. Hopefully at least The Little Things That Give You Away is done well.

That and Red Flag Day are literally the only two songs that stayed with me at all. I’ll need to listen to it again, but the first spin was rough.

Amazing surprise today. First new studio material with Franz Nicolay since Stay Positive. Both songs are awesome. Can't wait to see them on Saturday in Brooklyn.

Had not heard about that. I like them a whole lot more with Nicolay than without. I’m looking forward to hearing it.

Same. Just dropped today ahead of their 4 night run coming up this weekend, no previous announcement. I think you'll enjoy the songs.

Roger Waters'

This is the most beautiful, poignant, chilling, humbling and hopeful album I've heard this year.
