I think I may have heard that on the YHF demos. Great unreleased tunes on there. Not For The Season, Magazine Called Sunset, ect.

Heard good things about this band. Where is a good place to start?

Start with Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, it's the one that sort of made them the most popular. But the albums prior to that are pretty good, they just have a more traditional alt-country feel to it.

in case anyone didn't know there is a side-project called Loose Fur that consists of Jeff, Glenn and Jim O'Rourke. this band greatly influenced the YHF album and the sound of Wilco ever since. they have 2 albums out. required listening of any Wilco fan

Yeah, I've heard some Loose Fur tunes from one of Jeff Tweedy's solo shows. It also had songs from Uncle Tupelo and Golden Smog.

New album in the Spring. If I was starting to listen to them I would start with A.M. and work my way up. I just love this band and their side projects, also Jeff solo is amazing. Had front row seats a few years back it was a great time. Also seeing Wilco open for Neil Young in Worcester is going to be a special night.

This is a pretty good band. I'm liking A.M. and Sky Blue Sky.

I have this one solo show where Jeff is going on how Yankee Hotel Foxtrot lost the Grammy nomination to puddle of mudd, three doors down, and all these shitty alt. bands, and he was just going on and on, shouting, "FUCK THE GRAMMYS," in between songs. When 'A Ghost Is Born' came out, I saw Wilco at Alabama Theater on Grammy night, and the first thing they said was, "Hey, we won two grammys," and then they busted out with "Late Greats." I thought it was cool that they didn't make the obligation for the Grammys in L.A. and continued their tour in the bible belt of the country. They're really all about the music, even though they did put out those VW commercials. They're Wilco, they can do whatever they want.

Can't wait for this. I heard it going to be a return to experimental but I also heard it has some alt country type tunes. So I'm pretty anxious to here. Great year for new releases.

Checking them out in Lowell on July 11th. Kinda wished they were playing the Pines in Northampton like they have for a few years. So pumped for this cd though, sounds like a good one.
