Thank You O.A.R.

For stealing my money and putting out this utterly useless pile of garbage you call music and that has been my displeasure of ever having listened to. Seriously I don't think these guys should even be named O.A.R. anymore because it sounds absolutely nothing like the band that I grew to know and love. What happened to the raw, stripped down band that I was listening to before it was cool to go to one of theri shows hammered. Hell I was listening to this band before I even knew what hammered meant (I'm a junior in college, first heard them in 6th grade). Who are these guys trying to sound like? It sounds like some bullshit adult contemporary band where every song sounds made for radio (The Fray anyone?). I'm all for band evolution but this is clearly de-evolution.

Needless to say I will never spend another dime on this band unless they go back to sound they used to have. Sorry for my rant and I hope you heed my warning. Also I searched and couldn't find anything else on this, the new CD "All Sides" came out today.

I've never liked OAR. That being said, the new album sounds like it is the worst thing they have ever released from the little clips I have heard.

can we just make a plan now to just "boo" them, the whole time they're playing, all 3 nights, when they're opening @ the gorge? That'd be fun, right?

Guess it's just crazy to expect a band to evolve??? It just seems like an absurb idea that as musicians play more they change things and become better (leave out all the comments on the "getting better" part).

I understand your opinions, but it's not like you can say DMB never went down this path. How about other bands that you think are great? I'm sure they've all stayed the same way since they're first song.

I boo them when I'm not even listening to them.

don't get me wrong i'm all for band evolution, but no matter what band that would have put this cd out, it would still be garbage...good music is good music and bad music is just shit, and this is just shit.

yeah this album is bad. they ruined the lyrics for Whatever Happened. That song had the most promise and Marc laid some bad lyrics down.

I used to like them too it's kinda embarrassing to admit. I heard the new single on XM and it was AWFUL. Going thru the clips on iTunes showed me the rest of the album sounds pretty much the same. I always liked Something Coming Over but as far as I remember that was written awhile back.

They've been bad for a while now. Its surprising to hear how Marc and the guys from the band are so happy with the album too. Not a good sign
