This and Harvest Moon are the two albums in pretty constant rotation once fall weather hits. Some Devil really brings me back to that fall/winter. I had the two shows at Camden, Hershey, met Boyd at one of those signings, Some Devil, and then Central Park. And can't forget D+F which was a blast.

Some Devil, Luther College, BTCS, and 3/13/99 are my favorite autumn/winter albums by Dave. Some Devil has gotten tired on me at all, it still is as fresh as the day I bought it.

This thread makes me really want that D&T Big Whiskey rumor to come true... how great a fall album that would make.

But I agree with the thread, Some Devil is perfect for autumn. I resent autumn only because it means winter is on its way.

Ha, I enjoy fall mostly because it means winter is on its way.

yup. and i've been waking up for school/work all september and having to wear a jacket because it's in the mid 40's. might as well just start dumping snow now so we can get it over with.

I actually put this album and the bonus disc on my new ipod classic the other day. I think I'll spend a whole day just listening to the album and bonus disc once the weather starts get even colder.

I love the lyrics to Too High especially the bridge before it goes into the horns.

Oh, you seem too hard to break too cold to burn
Afraid your chance is gone
Your wires are crossed
Your mouth is lost
You fear you left it far too long
The minutes passed
The hours are gone
So hard to find your way alone

The slow hand's quicker, yeah
The slow hand's quicker
The slow hand's quicker

Your slow hand's quicker

yes!
that song has crept up on me over time. initially was pretty forgettable. would love to see it come back in some form, either D&T or DMB.

the slow hand's quicker. what does that even mean? seems like the best dmb/dave songs are the ones where you don't quite know.

I just listened to the album the other day, unrelated to this thread. Just fantastic. I really dislike Grey Blue Eyes after all the hype it received on the boards prior to the album release. 'An Another Thing blows as well. I got through both and found out that I still don't care for them. But the rest of the album is just fantastic.

I think Grey Blue Eyes is one of my favorite tracks. I don't know, it sounds cool and the lyrics go well with the music. An' Another Thing isn't coherent but has that emotion to it. I dig it. My least favorite is Up and Away.
