I, on the other hand, do think its one of the best shows of 2004. It's definitely the best one I've listened to.

I listened to 12.8.98 the other day for the first time in a while all the way through... such a great, GREAT performance and a wise choice to be the first volume of the LT series.

Yes, but 12.7.98 would've been better, or a double release, like Fenway.

i mean alpine could have been a double release too but i doubt they are going to do too many double releases at this point. its probably easier to market a double release of something that just happened then an older 2 night stand, whereas people that arent us may be more likely to buy single old shows.

I wouldn't want a double release from Alpine, N2 was fun and all, but it was too reminiscent of Alpine N2 of 2003 (7.6.03)

I wouldn't mind a double release for 12.20.02 and 12.21.02

What would be great would be to release the entire Winter '98 tour with like choice of 2-3 shows for Full Length DVD's. Damn, they would be make so much money with that.

What, from like the forty-seven of us that would buy any of those?

yeah the worcester shows are actually worthy of a double release. i do hope 12-7 gets out someday, that 3rd disc is just plain nasty.

I agree with this statement. Especially considering that every month or so GGT finds itself the subject of a new thread. Not saying they base their choices off this board, but sometimes it seems the clamors of the message-board fanbase make it to them.

With that said, all I can say is perhaps they know the band intends on doing something more with this song, so they don't want to release a show with this on it when it's about to get more playing time?

i kinda thought the same thing. they made a point about all 3 of the other new ones in their little write-up. and from what they said about crazy-easy, it seems they're aware of fan demand. and this is the second '04 show they're releasing without it, and the second or third WH disc without it. so maybe they know of a ressurection of some sort.

I couldn't see Good Good Time in the studio. If it ever surfaces again it will be DM&F or another live only song that will probably never get played. But what do I know.

I can't find an LT6 thread, so I'll post on here.

Finally gave this a pretty full listen (yes, I know welcome to last fall) and this release isn't as bad as I thought. To be sure, there are some clunkers as have been mentioned in several threads (both performance and mix), but there are some gems. Really like this Billies (revamped horn part), DDTW - especially the intro, WWYS, AB, Two Step, and Crush.

I finally got a chance to listen to 5. I really love Jimi. That section at the end with the Angel like progression is one of my favorite parts of the song. Throw in DRH and it makes it even better. It's a decent show and there are some great songs from that era that didn't make it on Red Rocks like OSW, Exodus, Jimi, and PFWYG (love that song).

I'd rather have the 96 MSG shows.

Exodus from 5 has been on repeat for a while now.

those shows are solid. i think i have some radio sbds of the 2nd night. i remember the #41 being particularly good. only downer is there's like 7-10 repeats. it's been beaten to death i know, but i really hope the next multi-show release is the dead openers from '95. solid performances for sure, but also no repeats (from a time where a lot of shows were very similar), so you get a pretty good sampling of the material of the time...at least more different songs than the msg shows.
