Yes, they created a new 24/96 digital master using the analogue tapes and used that digital master to create the vinyl and the CDs and digital downloads. Supposedly there will be a digital download of the 24/96 files available at some point.

Today I went to the biggest record store in downtown Toronto, and after years of procrastinating this, bought a record player, along with UTTAD, AFTW, and Beatles (White Album), TV on the Radio (Seeds), Radiohead (OK Computer), and a few other LPs. I'm excited to hook it all up and get listening and enjoy my new collection.

But I was surprised about one thing - I thought Granny was on the vinyl release. Didn't realize it wasn't.

Congrats on jumping in

congrats. I had a pre-order at amazon.ca due to be shipped at the end of the month then saw a bunch in stock at sonic boom and picked it up there instead (was easy to cancel the amazon order). sonic boom and kops my favourite in TO but they are all a bit different.

The one that I ordered for $18 shipped on 3/10 is 'out for delivery.' Pretty pumped about that. Thanks again for sharing that link Dan. Very cool of you.

I thought the R2T vinyl release was better packaged. But in the end, it does sound fantastic. Pretty pleased with it.

No RSD '15 release? That's disappointing.

I was kind of surprised by that too. I thought at least an old LT. They just aren't giving us anything right now.

I don't know this, but I would guess that the Under the Table Dreaming v2 nixed this.

Probably doesn't help that we're talking about RSD in the thread that isn't devoted to that... but its all relative.

At any rate, I have no desire to chase any LTs on vinyl. I thought I did when they first started doing these, but listening to a live show spread out across so many records is more frustrating than enjoyable to me.

I actually agree. I bought the final LCD Soundsystem show vinyl last year, and I haven't even listened to it. I've listened to the download, but the vinyl is not only 5 LPs, but I don't know what you call it, but A, B, C, etc are on different LPs, DJ-style.
