I'm generally in on this idea, though this particular movie doesn't look so good so I may start next movie.

Ha. That kind of defeats the purpose, Tomacco.

Here's a question: What if someone picks a movie that most people have already seen. Should we agree to rewatch it? Should the person make another pick instead? Just curious.

yeah i'm not sure. maybe if you're unsure about it, just ask beforehand how many people have seen the flick you're thinking about picking

Sounds like an idea. I mean, I'm gonna try and keep my picks as non mainstream as possible, so hopefully it should be all good.

Here's an idea, after every cycle of picks we all agree on a certified "classic" to rewatch and discuss, things like Citizen Kane, The Godfather, Goodfellas, etc. which most everyone has seen but we've never discussed them. Just a random thought.

I get ya. I'm not gonna pick anything that obscure. Although, if you feel that what I pick is obscure, it's not that I'm going for that, it's just my taste in movies. I have my first 3 picks in mind already and they're not obscure movies. Independent? Yes. Not really mainstream? Yes. But, there's actually a great possibility that you've seen them and save from my first pick, which is a doc, there are people in the cast that you'll know, and know well. Anyways, my point is that I'm not gonna pick anything well known. I wouldn't pick Jurassic Park. We should at least try to make them movies we like that other people may not be aware of or didn't think was good but maybe they'll like if they gave it a chance. Should be fun.

I agree. A persons pick is their pick and we should all watch it regardless, if this is supposed to be an actual movie club or group or whatever you want to call it. I was just wondering what everyone else felt about it.

I don't know if there needs to be a mandatory "revisit" film selected, but I don't think that people should shy away from choosing classics, if that makes sense.

Sounds like a fun idea. I'm in...Probably going to skip the first week here as I will be using netflix for this. I didn't see it available for instant queue and doubt I will have enough time to get it before Friday.
