I used to take alka-seltzer pretty regularly when I ate diary. Alka seltzer has aspirin which is *awful* for the lining of your stomach. Iím 99% sure this is what fucked me up. Now Iím on a pretty strict diet- meat, vegetables, rice. No bread, cheese, alcohol etc. Iím eating fermented food (Japanese natto), Pro biotics etc. all gut health things. Things are getting better but my stomach still gets upset over just some rice and steak.

I was just thinking how a couple years ago, I could eat fast food, go to sleep a few minutes later and wake up like nothing happened. Nowadays thatís a guaranteed day of extreme discomfort. Anyway, itís kind of a positive cuz Iím not eating the crap.
I've had stomach issues for several years now. I've had several tests done, including an endoscopy, but the doctors cannot figure out what is causing it. It sucks and I hope they can figure it out one day. I hope that you are feeling better though.

It could be the bacteria in your gut, have you tried taking probiotics?

I am somewhat. Still not 100%. If it doesnít get better soon, Iím going to seek out some different sort of help like an acupuncturist or something

I did some snooping around on Yelp and have a question. Did Al Capone stay at this hotel quite a bit?

Normal night around $250. Depends on how busy. During Derby it runs over $1000.

TDC hotel party? We'll all get rooms on the same floor. Live it up. We can invite Boyd.

Yes. The Oakroom (restaurant) used to be a billiard room where he played poker. The Rathskeller (basement ballroom) used to be a speakeasy that he supplied. There is a passageway between the 2 that he could hide in when the cops came. It's sealed off now so they won't show me

On that site is Larry, the head concierge. He has worked there for 35 years and has written books about it.

Also, F. Scott Fitzgerald stayed there when he was stationed nearby. The Grand Ballroom on the 10th floor is where Daisy's wedding took place in "The Great Gatsby"
