First off. Fuck every single apartment complex that lists on their website that they have apartments available and then when you call say "yeah it'll be available in the middle of November". Fuck em with a rusty bayonet.

Second, after all sorts of drama I finally found a place to live. It's a VERY short drive to work and it's actually easier to get to work avoiding the toll road than taking the toll road. And for the first time in years I'll have a dishwasher and cable is included in the rent.

BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to be living in Indiana

It was fun watching the last few seconds through my glasses before it became total. People were counting down the seconds until we could take them off and just look up.

BAAAAAAAAAA, I can't tell you guys how long I've struggled with the basic controls in the reply field on these boards before I finally looked into it today and changed the options from "basic" to "standard." What a dipshit.

So I'm finally moved into my apartment in Indiana. And now I can buy Yuengling without going to another state. But I can't buy cold beer anywhere but liquor stores? WHAT THE FUCK?!

Yeah the grocery down the street has it. But it's warm. Only liquor stores can sell it cold

Indiana's liquor laws are some of the dumbest anywhere. But, it's Indiana, so everything is at least a little dumb.

no alcohol at all on Sunday, except at restaurants.

Good thing I work in Kentucky and I'm only 4 miles away.

In Kentucky groceries can only sell beer and wine coolers. So Trader Joe's and some Kroger's have separate liquor stores. In the same building mind you, just with a wall in between.

There was actually a big push several years ago to allow liquor sales in groceries. Obviously all the of the owners of liquor stores opposed that. The head of Liquor Barn said he was opposed to it because grocery workers weren't trained well enough, and that may lead to minors buying alcohol

Same in Ohio, except that the liquor stores here are all state agents, so booze in Ohio costs like twice as much as in Indiana, which is why I only buy liquor when I'm visiting my in-laws. I miss Arizona, where I could buy a fifth of Jack in the grocery store for $19.

Never understood those rules in Indiana. I can buy beer, liquor, wine, whatever with my groceries in Illinois. When I was in Ohio, like you said, the Kroger I went to had a separate room/checkout for liquor.

We have some weird liquor laws in Colorado, too. The only alcohol you can by at a grocery store is beer under 3.2 ABV (I'm not much of a drinker, but is there anything worth drinking under 3.2?) Gotta go liquor store for wine/booze/beer.

Now: Grocery and convenience stores seeking to immediately sell full-strength alcohol have to buy two existing liquor licenses and any others within 1,500 feet, or five football fields, in an urban location or double that in a rural area.

2019: All grocery and convenience stores can sell full-strength beer and 3.2 percent alcohol beer is scheduled to go extinct.

2037: All grocery and convenience stores can sell full-strength beer, wine and liquor.

Yuengling is about as solid as you can get for a mainstream basic beer.

I wish Yuengling was available nationwide. Can't get it here on the West Coast.
