It's bottoming out at $1.95 here, but I had a $0.40 per gallon credit from Kroger, so I filled up for $1.55. It was beautiful.

With my gas guzzler, I would certainly welcome those gas prices!

Received a nice gift from a co-worker yesterday. Sorry about the size of the pic, I had to pull it off the net. Only received one bottle though

BTW, it's not getting opened.

The Archive put up a bunch of old games on their site to play for free. So naturally I've spent an hour playing the Oregon Trail.

Oregon Trail, 2,000 other MS-DOS games now free

Quote:
KUSA - Get the family in the wagon, get your dysentery shot and head off on the rocky trail to Oregon because the MS-DOS games that occupied our time in the 80s and 90s are now available for free.

The Internet Archive released more than 2,000 titles online, including The Oregon Trail, Street Fighter, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, The Lion King, Duke, Nukem, Prince of Persia and Chuck Yaeger's Advanced Flight Trainer.

The website allows users to play in their web browser, making them available to people instantly on all computer platforms. The creators acknowledge this means that there may be some bugs and want users to offer feedback as they play. The format also means you can't really save your game to play later, but when you're fighting your way across the a dusty trail with only 6 pounds of squirrel meat left, you wouldn't really want to stop anyway.

The Internet Archive is primarily known for running The Wayback Machine, a time capsule for the World Wide Web, but is becoming a hotbed for gaming after releasing emulators to play Atari and arcade games previously. And just like with those games, there aren't any instructions, so if you haven't played before or if it's been awhile, it may take some experimentation. But, hey, that's half the fun!

Play your favorite title here: [Only registered users can see links.]

Oh man, I'm going to waste so much time playing that now. I remember riding my bike to the library when I was like 8 to play that. That one and Where In the World is Carmen Sandiego.

What's with these new McDonalds commercials? Did they change their slogan to, "McDonalds: Meh, It Is What It Is. Who Gives a Shit?"

Speaking of these terrible McDonald's commercials, I enjoyed this parody of that insufferable ad with the signs.

I didn't think the new ad was at horrible (as ads go), other than the fucking song.

It's McDonalds. It is what it is. You want a cheap shitty burger or nuggets, go get yourself some McDonalds.

It's shitty food, but every once in a while I think (possibly influenced), "a big ass coke and some mcnuggets sounds great." I then feel like shit and do it again every few months.

Same here, was always a BK guy, but these days when I want garbage/drunk food, I'll hit up a Wendy's.

I'm too old to still be a Taco Bell person, but I am. If I want the burger thing, it's Wendy's for me too.
