a few hundred? That would be my guess. I wouldn't think it's anywhere near 10k or 25k but that my opinion is based on little to no info (mostly because we have no info on how these sales perform).

Honestly I can't imagine they have good numbers with these. LT 55, a random standard show from 2009? I can't imagine many folks rushing to bust out the checkbook for that. They have many hardcores alienated with their picks. Granted, you have the dedicated fans who will buy everything they release.

I’m honestly surprised this series is still going. It started in 2004! At this rate of releases, can it last another 11 or so years to make it to 100?

Yeah, this one looks great. Haven't heard any of it since the tape was released though.

edit: the tape for 4/20 isn't as good as the one for 4/29 either.

Yeah Iíd love to know this too, itís gotta be enough to justify continuing the series and to keep putting them out. DMbfamily will buy every release they put out, and thatís Definitley a good few thousand Iím sure. Then you have the completists that want to own everything, etc.

I mean, Grateful Dead has like 4-5 different live shows series and they keep pumping em out every year, Dicks Picks (now called Daveís Picks) is still going and it started in 1993. Not comparing them to DMB but as long as enough people keep buying them, I donít see why theyíd stop. This also gives them the chance to keep releasing shows well after the band calls it quits.

I think this series could go all the way to 100, and then If it continues past that theyíll start a new series under a different name Iím sure, def canít see them doing LT101

See other thread about orders being lower than expected, :-)

They sent out LT7 to everyone, I got the original white packaging, was hoping for the black.

I, for one, was not looking for a Spring 2009 show at all.

I feel like the Live Trax series just, like, jumped off a cliff, all of a sudden? I collected all of them up to 47 (the 97 show with Bela) and since then I've gotten ... the 04 show, which I felt was a little underwhelming (not too surprising, I've always been less of an 04 fan than most people, but still). I'll probably get Cow Palace eventually, but other than that, just not at all interested.

Part of it is that so many shows have been released so far that a new show having something different on it is harder to come by, I get that, but I would buy the shit out of anything from 93, 94, any 98 or 99 that isn't a direct copy of a set we already have, basically any 00, 01, 02 (especially Spring), late 03, early 06, one of the guest-heavy 07 shows, anything in 08, and even most picks in 3.0 or 4.0 would have something new or interesting on them just from how many different songs have shown up a few times at some point in 3.0 or 4.0. Like a '10 JTR or Kit Kat Jam, for instance. I'm less interested in DMB 1.0 than most people, '95 - '97 aren't super thrilling for me, and I don't really listen to Dave and Tim, but even like spring '09 could've been really exciting. This is just a bad pick. I feel like I shouldn't be super hard to please, but this has been a huge dry spell.

You have some really uninspired picks recently. The 2007 show (8/10), the 2019 D&T show, the 2014 show, the 1998 Idaho one, and now add this one into the mix. Just truly run of the mill DMB shows. They're not BAD but they are truly just random, boring selections. You can find several shows from the same yours that would be better picks.

I would be personally very satisfied if the next few releases were something like this:

12/3/98
7/7/12
7/26/95
6/21/08
2/20/97 and 2/21/97
2/14/95 and 2/15/95 RSO
Sep 00
Spring 02

Etc. They would sell decently well and are shows we all want. hit me with the classics. Cow Palace and 7/10/04 were steps in the right direction.

I like Beach Ball. Could this be the reason alone? First full band live performance with Beach Ball in the setlist. I know there's a Dave solo performance from an earlier LT Alpine release

I always liked the show with the extended Beach Ball. It would have been a much more interesting release, IMO.

Maybe. The definitive version (5/1) was also released as a bonus track from Big Whiskey.

Oh yeah, and there's also a version from 2012 released as a bonus track from Come Tomorrow.

I don't know why I hate Joe Lawlor so much (perhaps it was him promoting those God-awful "Let the Law Play" shirts awhile back), but I do. Seems like the ultimate DMB grifter. The Tiffany Trump of the Dave Matthews empire.
