Should have stopped playing the song after that night. By far the best version and nothing else comes close. Dave gets the screams right for once in his life and Roi is a fucking inferno.

Song is pretty trash for the most part. A lot of good Phish songs are just a groove and some nonsense lyrics that they jam hard over, but this band doesn't do that (with the exception of that 9/12/05 version).

I loved the power from Carter, Stefan and Butch on ABI and Dave's screaming was fun, however you're always left thinking how much did those years really effect Dave's vocals 2005-2008. He strained A LOT, and had many many shows where his voice was either close to or completely shot. The smoking, the screaming...it's no wonder Dave had to yell the falsetto's on Ants.

Yeah, ABI if nothing else, was a big culprit for the deteriorating of his voice.

If so, what an idiot. Can't believe nobody told, advised, or warned him of future damage. It's also possible his voice was just changing with age. The smoking all those years likely didn't help either.

It's really bad, and pointless. It's just the same thing over and over as Dave blows out his voice. One of the reasons Dave's voice is in the shape its' in right now imo. There was some energy to it when they played it, but it's really kind of surprising it got played as much as it did.

I get it. In theory of course good to change it up, but there are Wayyyyy better ways they could have rearranged lithog. Including just going back to a shorter version. The keys solo and ABI takes it from highlight to piss break for me.

I love ABI intro, and it's because it's like a haunting melody and the riff is great, and I've never hid the fact that I love Dave screaming, especially live. And It's just a lot of energy and Boyd has some good solos. It reminds me of the Dave Matthews Band.

I always liked it too. Can't stand it these days though tacked on to LITHOG. Dave's voice can't even come close. Just cut it guys.
