I watched the Live in Slow Motion DVD last night. So amazing. I really love the way it's shot and mixed. Plus, the setlist is great.

my roommate was being annoying about me watching it on the tv though (even though when it comes down to it, it's my damn tv AND my damn dvd player) so i only got through baltimore because he was around basically all weekend.

i wish there were more wide shots of the whole band without being ALL THE WAY at the back of the venue. my one complaint so far.

i heard live at the point is even better though.

the tickets to the last show was fairly pricey, i wanna say around 50 bucks each.

after reading through this thread, i decided to blow some of my best buy giftcard on the dvd. got home, smoked a bowl and jammed for 2 hours. i must say the cinematography is great. really captures the lighting well. and there wasnt 1 shot of the crowd, so you really feel like you are right on stage watching the show. it was a really enjoyable watch, and something that would be perfect to have on as background entertainment for a party. strongly recommend it.

to me, david and his band have an incredibly full sound, especially now with the addition of a couple more people. and they really make every song sound great, even ones that i am not particularly fond of. they have an arena sound and played in small auditoriums last tour. if they were to tour a couple years in a row, i really think they could sell out a mini arena tour again (like 03 or whenever they sold out uic and msg and stuff). it was awesome to see this show in a tiny auditorium right down the street from me in sd.

I don't know how it happened, but this guy totally fell off my radar. I just listened to A Century Ends for the first time in a couple years and WOW, I forgot how amazing it is.

Such a raw and powerfull album. Lead Me Upstairs is one of my favorite studio songs by Gray.

A Century Ends is incredible. I've gone through phases of favorite songs, but lately "Debauchery" and "Let The Truth Sting" have been it. "Let the Truth Sting" has incredible lyrics and is just sung so perfectly. And "A Flame Turns Blue" is a pretty consistent favorite, again incredible lyrics.
