Don't feel too bad. I don't think I've heard any of this year's winners' music. And yeah, who are most of these people anyway?

Motion City Soundtrack Jan 2020 for me. Eons ago! I was thinking of checking out Rancid last summer. But then the world blew itself up.

so today whilst driving home I saw truck with as "Raise hell, eat cornbread" sticker on the back. I was curious as to what that could possibly mean so I consulted google. It is this song

I really feel bad for the person driving that truck.

I also feel bad for delicious cornbread for being associated with that.

There is not a single thing about that that isn’t embarrassing for everyone involved, including me based on the look I just got from my wife.

Shame about the rapper DMX. Not a fan, but still must suck to go out like this. At least for his family and friends.

I used to like DMX back in the day. It makes me sad/mad to hear that it was an overdose that was the catalyst.

Sufjan Stevens is releasing a 49 track, two and a half hour instrumental album about mourning (is this the most Sufjan Stevens thing ever?) on May 6.

fucking hell. Was supposed to see Rage Against the Machine last August in NYC. Date was changed to August 2021. Just yesterday I finally found an employee rate room in the city for the dates I wanted. Today it was moved until August 2022.

Its just that I have been waiting to see Rage Against the Machine since 1996. This is the 2nd time it has been ripped away from me. Yeah I'm pissed. I want to punch Covid right in the taint.

in somewhat positive news, Shinedown just announced a show at Waterfront Park in Louisville in August. Not really a fan, but just positive sign about live music coming back.

edit: As it turns out, that is the first of 15 shows that are being planned at Waterfront Park this summer
