Did you get COVID-19? (PRIVATE Poll)

I’m just curious. I’m wondering what TDC’s IFR is after one year. It seems about a half dozen or so of us have “come out” with the fact that we got it. I’m curious to see how many others have as well.

Of course, this poll is private and confidential, no one including me can see who selected what.

Nope. It never reached exponential growth around here.

I've never been tested but I'm fairly sure I have not had it.

No. I was fortunate, but also we took the quarantine restrictions pretty serious. We arent particularly scared of COVID, but more want to do our part to stop the spread. If there was no reason to go out, then we didnt do it. We went to dinner or to restaurants a under 10 times over the last year.

I either dodged it (knock on wood... not fully vaccinated yet) or I was asymptomatic.

Been exposed 3 times in a year, quarantined 3 times but like Bluewater might have dodged it or was asymptomatic.

Are people afraid to admit they got COVID? I’m actually asking. I did not realize that was a thing...especially on here.

I have only been around someone that was exposed to another person that had it.

I didnít think anyone here cared, but in my real life social circles I think there would be shame around it because people might think you defied lockdown orders. There is definitely judgement about how risky peopleís behavior during the pandemic have been.

I get that, although I know a number of people who have gotten it and no one I personally know treats them poorly or judges them because of it. I am sure there are those who do though. I was more thinking of this place. Didnít think anyone here cared.

Everyone I know who got it was reasonably cautious, but many likely got it from their kids based on who else was sick in their households.

There’s a stigma here in some social circles. I don’t give AF, everyone I know knows I had it. I was honestly relieved when I got it because I knew I’d be fine and then I knew coming out of it I’d have the antibodies and not have to worry about spreading it to anyone else. I also knew that if I got it and showed a good attitude as I went through it people around me would chill TF out by a percentage point or two, and I did feel that happened a bit once I recovered. “Oh, Josh.0 got it and he was fine, maybe that 99.8% survival rate is legit and I need to stop overthinking all of this.”

I couldn’t care less if people judged me for getting a respiratory virus, and if I knew they did they wouldn’t be the kind of people I’d spend time with anyways. You’re an idiot if you think people getting a respiratory virus - that’s likely infected >1/3 of the country - is a knock against their character.

But people definitely do hide that they had it. Two people have said they got it and I know statistically speaking that more here have gotten it but don’t want to indicate so in the poll. It’s estimated north of 130 million of the 330 million people in the country have gotten it.

It’s like...who gives a fuck? It’s in the same viral family as the common cold - and possibly easier to spread - of course people are going to get it. You’d have to be (barely) functionally retarded to judge anyone for getting it.

I’ve been on the covid team for anesthesia intraop at the hospital I work at since march 2020. I’d be lying if I said I managed to follow the ever changing protocols of the team anywhere near perfectly, but never contracted it. Was involved with well over 100 surgeries thus far

Between March 2020 and Mid-Dec. 2020, I don't think I ever had it. If I did, I was asymptomatic. Then in Mid-Dec 2020, I was exposed to it. Tested twice over the course of two weeks. Both tests came back negative. I tested every week for the next ten weeks, all were negative. After I was vaccinated, I stopped getting tested.
