Negril, Jamaica. I will always pick this as my go to place. Obviously getting married there helps, but it was seriously the most beautiful place I've ever been to. The staff was amazing. Swim up bar was awesome. And weed on every inch of the property make this a destination to die for.

The Travel Thread

We travel quite a bit for play, but due to some financial considerations and a family situation in the past 6 months, we tend to stick to adjoining states with a (typical) one-way trip time of 4 hours max.

I was on tour in France last August and have wanted so badly to go back ever since. What a fuckin awesome trip, and fully paid for!

I love Curacao, an island off the coast of Venezuela with some awesome diving. The same goes for Cancun and Cozumel. The Caymans might be the best diving of all.

I spent about a month in southern India in 2007. I'd like to find my way back to the place I was working and maybe see a few other places. Possibly Malaysia.

But I really want to be able to save enough to take my lady to Europe for a week or two; she used to be a French major and still speaks pretty well. I think she'd love it and I'd love to discover the rest of Europe with her.

I would go back to France and Curacao in an instant; the rest, I will hopefully discover before 40.

Yeah I was trying to think of ways to squeeze France into my trip next month, but it was just too far out of the way. I think eventually a Portugal -> Spain -> France trip would be a lot of fun.

Jonas - it looks like you had a fucking amazing wedding day, dude! I like the idea of destination weddings...those who really want to be there will make it, those who don't won't make it.

Speaking of more trips, I'm not usually one for tattoos (I don't have any), but lately I've been thinking about doing something that will keep me honest and motivated to travel throughout my life. I was thinking of getting something like a sign post with like 50 destinations I want to see before I die on separate signs up and down the post pointing in different directions. Then, as I see each place, getting a follow up tattoo with a check mark next to it. If places are missing check marks, it means I haven't been there...and knowing it's being depicted that way on my body forever, it would motivate me to want to see more places and get them checked off.

I haven't thought of a good way to draw it out, but if I ever do, it may be a fun way to get 'inked.'

I'd love to travel more -- it's my major regret from when I was younger.

My Kids love it and we stay in a place that has a water park in Lancaster, I couldnt have planned the weekends any better, in the summer it was right after DMB in Camden, and this weekend the Eagles dont play until monday.

The last few years, I did Atlantic City once every three months or so, but haven't been there since April....I think I've grown out of that stage and have finally realized what a dump it is. Not to mention that they've shut down 5 of the casinos already.

Anymore, it's random concerts and maybe a yearly trip to Florida (save this year, saving for the wedding next May, so yeah, no need.)

When people ask why I'm so happy not having kids, it's things like this I usually give as a response.

But yet, he still saw DMB in Camden and is pumped about Monday Night Football. I can certainly appreciate having the best of both worlds.

Not to derail this thread, but how is the Thomas thing? My 3-year old is a huge fan, and we're debating taking her to see the "real" train in November for the Day Out with Thomas event.

Lol it confuses the masses.

I loved our wedding. The beach aspect was nice but my father in law offered us 10 grand to do whatever we wanted with ad long as he didn't have to listen to my wife and mother in law fight about what we wanted for our wedding any more lol.
