France is awesome. I only spent a few days in Paris, but it was worth it. Nothing wrong with going to the landmarks.

Enjoy Versailles and Normandy!

I know that it's getting a bad rep in the news, but once things settle down, people should check out Greece in their lifetime.

As if we haven't experienced a big enough down-turn in an economy...

But ya I've always enjoyed Greek mythology, I wouldn't be opposed.

Despite its current economical issues, it's the father nation of modern civilization. Plus, tourism can only help them right now.

So I know many of you live up in the NE, maybe you guys could help me out. My wife and I are planning a trip up there in the Fall. Maybe flying into Boston and then driving around the New England areas. The book we bought says the first week of October is the best for changing foliage. It's from 2010 though. What do you guys think? I thought it would be at least the second week.

Also, any sites to hit while we're up there? Any Fall festivals to hit up as well?

Thanks!

well, to a certain extent, yes. We live in Texas, no fall, hot to cold, no seasons. So I too, want to see those nice Fall trees and be surrounded by it for awhile.

Is that too much of a nancie for ya bro?

don't have any of those, but I've got lots of light-weight sweaters and half-zip up sweaters.

Make sure, when visiting Berkeley, that you don't drive to LA.

The Travel Thread

I'm currently suffering from a nasty case of the travel bug and I wanted to see if anyone else on TDC often finds themselves on the road, either for work or play.

As some of you guys know, I was in London, Brussels, Antwerp, and Amsterdam in April. On October 1st, I fly into Munich for the last three days of Oktoberfest, then am taking the train to Vienna for two nights, Prague for three nights, and finishing up in Berlin for three nights. I'm super pumped - it's only three weeks from today!

Anyone been to Oktoberfest, or to any of the cities I'll be hitting up after Munich? If so, do you have any advice?

But in general, I'm curious...where have you guys been? What are some of your favorite places? Favorite memories? Best people you've met? Any pictures to share? Any upcoming plans?
