Fucking worst dude sorry. Such a shitty feeling

I can't for the life of me remember what software I ended up using but it worked. Took forever to index the HD and even longer after that to transfer the stuff to a new one but I recovered about 98% of the stuff. Every now and then an audio file will be corrupt though

I had this happen recently because of a power surge. Apparently most surge protectors will fail you occasionally.

Thankfully I have an external with pretty much everything archived, although like you said, some files have become corrupted.

I needed to reinstall Windows on my internal though. That was frustrating.

Oh well, back to normal... for now!

Ugh, that sucks...I've been there before myself in the past. I just recently had my 1TB LaCie back up HD crap out as well. I don't think the data's at risk of being lost, but I need to dig into the issue a little bit more to see how to fix it (I think it's some sort of power supply issue that LaCie drives suffer from).

It sucked.

And to top it off, I bought a new hard drive and it was defective. Literally tried everything to restore and fix it (on 3 different computers no less) but it's just a busted piece of junk.

Backblaze - best $50 I spend per year. I had one of my external die last year, popped in a new one and had all my files back in less than a day.

Probably Animals for me. When I was in 6th grade I bought a record player and a huge collection of old vinyls. Something about the Animals cover stuck out to me, I listened to that album, and that was my introduction to Floyd

WYWH is a close second though. I mean they literally set the guy on fire
