That's pretty cool. You must've had a good view of him letting that one drop.

That's really cool. I didn't realize he was from PR.

Yeah! And Berrios (another PR native) is on the mound tonight for the Twins. It's going to be a tough one.

But now I'm hearing there are severe power outages on the island and the game might be in jeopardy. Which would be a damn shame.

Gotta get through one more full day here at work then I'm off tomorrow for 4/20 and three straight days of Cubs baseball.

sounds just like any other observed holiday.

Mets really needed that comeback win vs the Nats last night! A sweep would have shifted the momentum (and a 2 game swing in the standings). Big win.

My boss was like, "huh, taking 4/20 off?" I go, well the Cubs are in town it will be fun to sleep in, have a day in the city and then get out to the park early.

"Sure thing."

I'm glad they don't really care and honestly they shouldn't. It'll be interesting to check out the big rally downtown just to see the scene.

Mets are playing well, Mitch. Noah is a beast.

16-5 last night. Super fun game and always amazing to see the fellow Cubs fans out in full force. Almost felt bad for some of the Rockies fans. Almost.

Also the 420 ceremony was a blast [Only registered users can see links.]

First off, go easy on us tonight roshea.

Secondly, whoever decided to schedule this Cubs series in APRIL midweek is a god damn fool. These would be guaranteed sellouts in the summer months, and now you also risk having a rainout and the Cubs aren't scheduled to come back to Cleveland so you have a bitch of a time trying to make it up later.

Dumb.

Yeah, there's a lot of quirky schedule things these days. And all the rain/snow the midwest has gotten hasn't helped at all.

Some Cubs people I follow on Twitter seem skeptical they can get the game in tonight? Stupid rain.

It was freezing Fri/Sat at Coors, and then super hot Sunday. Fun weekend overall and I was happy to see a series win.

I think it was last season there was a SF Giants game that didn't start until after 11pm because of the rain. Sucked for the fans in attendance. Nice for me because I was just getting home from work and was able to watch the whole game. I think it went from 11pm to around 1:30am.

Yep, I've been to a few of those over the years. It's definitely not ideal but what can they do? It's been a fluky month weather wise, but I hope MLB doesn't do anything too drastic to deal with it. I would like to see them schedule DH's again. Even if it's just one a month or so. That would allow for more off days in the season and more room to deal with rainouts. There has been talk of shortening the season. As recently as 1960/1961 was the last time they played 154 game schedules. Maybe it goes back to that?

About that...

Cubs have now scored 45 runs since Thursday and that includes a 5-2 loss Saturday.

I'll take it.

I'm surprised by how much Kipnis has struggled. He was awesome for a while there, the last two years not so much.

I went to junior high with him and have tracked his career since his DUI at Kentucky Weird to see everything fall apart during what should be his prime.

He had an insane spring too.

We have struggled with the bat as a whole terribly though. Thank god for our rotation. Tomlin is the only one that has had a couple truly bad starts.

Yo mitch, looks like Harvey isn't too pleased with this move to the pen? Is he running out of time in NY?
