This would be fantastic if it is previously unreleased material.

It’s taken two years, but we’ve now sourced all 125 rare and coveted songs to be used on the big day!

Hopefully this means they've worked out with all the companies/artists, etc to bring us some unreleased sbd gems.

they can't really expect any kind of sizable donations if they're giving out stuff that's already been released... i mean how many casual fans do you think are really going to know about this/care enough to remember and sit around and download these tracks?

This part makes me think they'll just be taper pulls:

If you can help with digging out some rare or coveted MP3s from any of the above artists, please e-mail Si and you’ll hear straight back.

and wouldn't they still need permission from the bands for that if they're asking for donations, even they're charitable?

I doubt that these will be previously unreleased songs.

But I'm praying that they will be.

I've been in talks with Si for a bit about this. As far as I understand, it'll be all taper pulls. So don't expect anything you guys haven't already heard.

On the other hand, it's for a great cause and probably going to be a decent introduction to the other bands listed there so check it out.

I have looked at the 7.7.01 Solider Field set so many times, never listened to it. How the hell did I miss Buddy Guy guesting? Regardless of it being on Angel, that's amazing.

Oh joy, I can download 2 tracks that I recorded myself lol

I find it amusing that they picked the Maker as that is one of the quietest songs from the show and you can hear some jackass talking throughout and loudly yelling "oh that's that asshole" at one point. I get the meaning behind it, but still.
