I have a question but didn't find it worthy to start an entirely new thread, and this is the closest thing that relates to it.

It's almost time for the wife and I to renew our cable package. We used to have Netflix, but never used it and cancelled. I've been researching this Roku box for a while, but can't seem to get a grasp on just how much money one would save having only the box rather than the $100/month cable package (AT&T). We watch network shows, but DVR everything so we don't usually watch them as they air. Does a) anybody subscribe to this Roku box, or have one; and b) is it a cheaper and more logical route if it is the only thing being used to watch programs (as in, canceling cable/dish altogether and relying solely on the box for entertainment)?

Roku is good if you have Netflix and Hulu+ and an HBO subscription. You pay a one time fee for the Roku box, but all the other stuff is subscription based. So you could do Netflix and Hulu for like $20 a month, but nothing from HBO unless you had cable and an HBO subscription.
