Shotgun.. Sugar Will.. Idea Of You ..
To me it's just the quality of the song, although still good, IMO doesn't touch the work done on that album. Disclaimer though, I'm really biased towards their work LWS and prior.

Even tho TGIY gets stuck in my head like crazy and I like it but would be scared if that was the only thing I had heard before going in to this album, between SC and Again and Again I’m still excited about this thing. The production sounds great to me and so does the quality of music. Are there things I would still like to see? Of course. Would love to see longer jams than 3:15 min long songs but happy with what I’ve heard so far.

Can’t get enough of Again and Again.

Itís so much better than SC. Not that it probably would have done any better, but AaA does the job a lot better.

That's it, Sir.
I understand.

I want to be mad at this song because the LL's are on the recording but it's excellent. I listened to it again yesterday and I really dig it, especially through my studio monitors. That gave me the idea to run it through my JBL Eons (12s, 15s and 18' subwoofer) this morning and it's brilliant. Everyone is missing the point that the bridge "without any solo" is there for Stefan and what he's doing is nothing short of brilliant. Glad to see him get his due.

One of my friends who has been largely unaware of the band since 2007 or so had someone send him this song yesterday.

He was blown away and couldn’t believe they were still producing this quality of music.

So I’m going to trust his opinion as someone who hasn’t listened to the band for a long time as a legitimate comment on the composition.

It’s a really good song.

Don’t shoot me but this is one instance where I wouldn’t have minded the ladies being turned up a little.

I think they did a great job on this one. It wasn’t my favorite out of that bunch but I enjoyed it and I like that they slowed it down and let Stefan run all over the song.

Fairly optimistic about this album at least being a fun one to listen to and I’m more positive about Idea of You being a killer since we’ve heard some varied songs.

I think slowing it down helped give it some identity. THe live versions weren’t quite there.

100% agreed. Iíve had the same exact thought the last couple days. This is really close to being a perfect track. I think the horns, ladies, etc are just right and Daveís vocals are absurdly good. Then thereís Fonz and Carter, who own the song. Itís just shockingly excellent. I genuinely didnít think they had something like this in them. It definitely gave me a sliver of hope for the album again.

This.

I know itís hard for people differentiate between the live versions and this but if this was the first time hearing this song, I think everyone would be on board.

I think it was soups who said it's nice to have a song where there are flourishes here and there of different sounds you can enjoy if you listen carefully. I agree.
