It sucks that scheduling has so much to do with college football.
I will say that if Louisville ends up being the only undefeated team with a schedule that sees absolutely NO Top 25 teams... there will be an uproar

It's pretty much the perfect schedule this season for Bama, get past the A&M game and it's (hopefully) smooth sailing.

What I can see happening though is everyone in the SEC taking a loss somewhere along the way and we'll end up with an OSU v Louisville BCS Championship, jesus that would be awful.

You know, as an Ag, I'm just incredibly grateful to be MENTIONED in the same conversation with the contenders.

Mediocrity has forever stricken A&M, nobody saw this coming. I've also completely bought in to the whole SEC family mentality... I'm not rooting against SEC schools like I would be Big 12 schools (Texas, Tech, etc.). Now granted, I'm sure those times will come, but I still love being a part of the SEC, I'm just glad we can put up a good showing as a new member.

(and I still love seeing Texas fall in to utter irrelevance)

If you come onto a board and spout off about your team 24/7 when they're hot, don't expect people to be kind and supportive when they lose. Especially when that team has a little asshat like John Manziel as their QB.

You do know that schedules are usually set a couple of years in advance right? It's not like Bama just won the title and set up a cakewalk schedule for a chance to three-peat. And I really don't see the difference between scheduling a bye week before your "big game" or scheduling an FCS team. Both are a warm-up that gets you ready for the following week.

And why is it such a surprise that A&M has 8 home games this year? In a 12 game season, a team typically has at least 6 home games. In some cases, it's 7 or 8 if they are consistently in the Top 25 or a team on the rise that attracts attention from other programs and the media. Your beloved "Ags" had 8 home games in 2006, 7 home games in 2007-2011.

I'm well aware that schedules, especially non-conference opponents, are made several years out. I was merely stating the fact that it is a favorable schedule regardless of when it was made.

He's throwing darts at me like he has been all season so far...

Don't think it's directed to you.

I even pointed out that it was me being a bitter fan in the moment, I'm well aware scheduling happens years in advance.

I don't expect for there not to be haters, just as you have been all along. Yesterday was simply me trying to defend my guy in a back-n-forth with Jonas. Don't put too much stock into it, I'm not on suicide watch or anything. We lost, I feared we would, not all that unexpected...

I agree with Dan, and its one of my biggest peeves about UGA. Sure the schedules are set 3-4 years in advance but UGA/Bama knows what they are doing when they fill their non-conference games with North Texas and Alabama State. Yes you need those confidence booster games, but dont expect the boys to know how to take on a quality opponent when you schedule 1-2 every 3-4 years, not going to happen.

I still dont believe we've seen the best team emerge yet. I wont give that to Bama yet, what they did was awesome but they were also down by 14 points and almost ended up losing a 20 point lead. Oregon can put up those kinda points because of who they play. Ohio State.. Who do you play again? There are too many teams highly ranked that play no one, and I'm not talking about a weak SEC schedule, I'm talking about the fact that they literally play high school teams and are ranked above teams who lose to legit teams. I cannot wait til next year and the play offs.

I ain't throwing darts (and pretty sure that was the only negative thing I've said), just figured I'd chime in on the game. Sorry that your team has to employ the biggest dbag in all of the sport.

Dude, you've been making little jabs and quips throughout this entire thread. It's cool though, I don't hate you for it.

Thank god you're a Cowboys fan.

Oh and schools don't employ their athletes.

I like Romo, I think hes a great QB in the pocket, I dont really think he has the mind to scramble any more. When he was younger he did, but I dont know. I havent seen many of their games this year but I've seen some clips and they look good.

I really despise Kirk Herbstreit. His comments regarding the SEC are asinine. Why wouldnt I pull for an SEC team in the NC If they are playing another conference? My team or not, I'll pull for my conference. Not to mention, dont tell me that Oregon throttled Tennessee and we need to own that loss. Who gives a DAMN about the current Tennessee? Who expected them to come out and win? You cant take a new team, new coach trying to build a new identity and expect them to beat a "powerhouse" team. Put them up against UGA, Bama, LSU, A&M (Ampersand was for you drummer) and I promise you they will be embarrassed.
