Thumbs up

Anyone been following this news...No chance on me being able to afford dropping $100 on this set, but I think it's a cool release. I'll prob snag the torrent when that appears on the net.

From Dead.net:

Winterland 1973: The Complete Recordings captures the Dead during one of their peak years and absolutely at the top of their game. Spread over nine discs, it includes every note of three complete consecutive shows (save for the encore of November 9, which was not recorded), so there’s plenty here to satisfy every fan:

The third installment in our new Road Trips series features smokin' tracks from the summer tour of 1971, including highlights from shows in New Haven and Chicago.

Road Trips Vol. 1 No. 3 includes...

- A booklet boasting scads of great photos and an essay by Dead scholar Blair Jackson

This one features the legendary, consensus-best-ever version of "Hard to Handle" from 8/6/71, as well as a rare recording of a show at Terminal Island Correctional Facility in Santa Ana, California (where sound guru Owsley "Bear" Stanley was incarcerated at the time).

Would anyone be able to up a version of Birdsong and/or Eyes of the World with Branford Marsalis? I have heard these performances are incredible. Thanks, I appreciate the help.
