And the competition gap widens again! Always innovating.

Beginning today, Model S and Model X now come with an all-new drivetrain design that increases each vehicleís range substantially, achieving a landmark 370 miles and 325 miles on the EPA cycle for Model S and Model X Long Range,

All Model S and X vehicles now benefit from Teslaís latest generation of drive unit technology, which combines an optimized permanent magnet synchronous reluctance motor, silicon carbide power electronics, and improved lubrication, cooling, bearings, and gear designs to achieve greater than 93% efficiency. Pairing a permanent magnet motor in the front with an induction motor in the rear enables unparalleled range and performance at all times. The net effect is a more than 10% improvement in range, with efficiency improvements in both directions as energy flows out of the battery during acceleration and back into the battery through regenerative braking. In addition to adding range, power and torque increases significantly across all Model S and Model X variants, improving 0-60 mph times for our Long Range and Standard Range models.

No, he said he had the funding IF they wanted to go private, but they didn't.

You said Tesla would go bankrupt, but they haven't.

The fact that you would even use that term to define what he is shows your lack of understanding and appreciation for what's transpiring.

I will not respond to you anymore in this thread unless it's something on the data I post. You repeat what Trump says and think Elon is a borderline fraud. You have shown your intelligence.
Trump said that?

Ugh, can’t believe you are defending that ridiculous 4/20 tweet. He didn’t have that funding secured. It was a stupid joke - he was trying to show off to his girlfriend.

Musk is flagrantly thumbing his nose at the SEC. They wanted his Twitter account to be controlled by PR and he just went on right ahead tweeting whatever he wanted. That’s not how you handle the SEC.

Trust me, other companies will catch up fast. China is probably already copying. Lots of other electric cars are coming out this year. Tesla could still go bankrupt...I hope they don’t. But Musk should be taken with a grain of salt, not worshipped like you do

Tesla took almost a billion dollar loss this quarter. Woof. If their cars are so desirable and such the shit, they should raise prices so they stop hemorrhaging money

They did so for many reasons, taken from the Q1 report:

Quote:
This reduction was driven by a $920 million convertible bond repayment and an increase in the number of vehicles in transit to customers at the end of Q1. In addition, we began production and deliveries of Model 3 vehicles for overseas markets.
Part of the problem was no fault of their own - the ships would get off their schedule and throw everything out of wack for the quarter. Plus, they deliberately lowered the S/X production because they were re-tooling for the new drive unit.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
You really have no idea what you are talking about and are now a troll to me and on my ignore list. I've been an investor since 2012 and listened to every quarterly report and kept up with the company on a daily basis. They are an agile company and know what the fuck they are doing.

I thought I would create a breakdown for those of you that haven't looked yet. This is taking the SR+ that has Autopilot as standard now. You can still get the 35k version, but it doesn't have it. The SR+ is an amazing deal.

I'm not sure where everyone is located that reads this thread, but these are the states that Tesla lists on their calculator.

I didn't include gas savings like they do because it's based off of 6 years and I want you to see what it would cost today. So just think of the gas savings and oil changes and longer lasting brakes as perks.

Owning a Model 3 is cheaper than most think. Those in Colorado have it made!

Here is the breakdown:

Great article discussing what's happening in Indiana.

[Only registered users can see links.]

Quote:
Earlier this week the Indiana Utilities Regulatory Commission nixed a new billion-dollar natural gas plant proposed by the energy company Vectren, which was intended to replace a group of aging coal power plants.
Quote:
Indiana gets some of its imported electricity through the wind-rich MISO grid. Combine that with Vectrenís plans for a 50-megawatt solar plant, and you have something called complementarity. Thatís fancyspeak for combining different wind and solar power generating patterns to create a reasonably steady stream of clean power.

Tesla is about to acquire Maxwell Technology in a couple of weeks. Right now Tesla's cell energy density is at 250 Wh/kg. Dry Battery Electrode (DBE) tech can get to 300 Wh/kg and shows a path to 500 Wh/kg amongst other great things about it. This is another advantage Tesla has over the industry.

Elon said he expected the quarter to be ďa slight lossĒ after he said he expected Tesla to be profitable all year. Then they post a $700m loss. Dude is a pathological liar. Thinks heís a lot smarter than he really is

Looks like this link is dead. CNBC cut out the part about Tesla with their official upload, that's why this link was being circulated. Now it seems CNBC made the person take this down......fucking hate CNBC.

EDIT: Found a different link!
