disagree, I don't like any of the piano songs honestly mostly because dave sucks at it so in turn the songs are dull and flat to me
Virginia is the best of them imo

I'm sure a large part of the reason I like is how similar it is to Damien Rice.

I loved it as an opener as well as Sweet bc it felt like a prelude to the show then it slammed in your face the next tune.

I prefer coming out hot for the opener so I hated this song in that slot. There's just an excitement to a beginning of a show and something super slow kind of dampens the buzz a little bit for me. Similar to how some of those acoustic sets began with a complete fizzle of Dave solo tunes that basically made the show feel like it started 4-5 songs in.

Having said that, I do really like ADSR. Strong lyrics, chilled out lounge vibe. Good tune.

I agree. I love seeing a band come out on stage, get set, and blast into an opener

People fucking hated this song when it debuted on tour.

Energy killer.

Too soft.

Dave on Piano = Out of My Hands = TRIGGERED!

In fairness, it got a shit ton better with Tim on it.

I never cared for the 07 versions - even Izod (although I should probably revisit that), but that SPAC performance is very good.

This was definitely me. I didn't even give it a chance in '07. Hated that it was opening shows. Then I got it at SPAC the next year and really started liking it. Love that it made that WH disc.

The almanac says it was released on the Warehouse 8 Vol. 7 disc.

Is that not true?

This track was, I think he means the whole show.

Its a good song, but its nothing I really want to see at a show. Maybe in the E1 spot instead of Sister for the hundredth time

Much preferred it in 2007. The Live 25 version is probably better than anything that they'd fuck up in the studio.

That track is, but 6/21/08 is a great show. I think all of the 08 releases were good choices - and reflect the different elements of that tour, but I look forward to that full show coming out eventually.

I see this as another example of Dave just telling a literal story over some music, don't really see a great "song" here.

I always loved Roi on this song. It had an old fashioned dreaminess to it. Getting lost in those dreams that you wake up and feel like you were somewhere else or had some greater meaning when it was just a dream.

Yeah, I prefer the 07 ones because of the Roi solo.
