Agreed titles don’t mean anything..but we already know 9/14 songs on the album and what they sound like.

Take my vote with a grain of salt though - I didn't buy a single ticket to any of the shows this year. I've seen the band 220+ times and just couldn't pull the trigger this year. Them skipping San Diego and the closest show being LA (which I avoid as much as I can) made it an easy decision.

At face value I'm excited for half of those songs. Much more interested in new music the renditions of the old stuff. At least until I hear it.

Would have been great to hear any of that older stuff over Can't Stop though. Trying to prepare for its epicness.

I'm a 9. While we know a number of these songs, I'm really curious and excited to hear what some of them sound like full band, reworked, etc. I don't know that I can say the album sucks until I actually hear it. Excited for new songs and a new album for sure.

Speaking only for myself I was fairly certain when I saw new DMB songs called Be Yourself and Plastic Girl before hearing them they were going to be awful. Given the lack of quality new music and the way Dave writes about certain subject matter I have a hard time getting jacked for new songs called That Girl Is You and She. I'll gladly admit if I'm wrong, but I'd bet those are mediocre at best.

Titling a piece of art is part of the art itself.

If nothing else, crappy titles demonstrate crappy decision making by the artist.

Cmon now. We all know it’s the acronyms that matter not the titles themselves.

BOWA = Yay
SAWG = no good

1.

Bismarck doesn't make it but Bob Law does. FUCKING Can't Stop makes it over something like Shotgun & Sugar Will

Bismarck over Bob Law and Shotgun or Sugar Will over Can't Stop and I would be at a 5 or 6.

Yeah there’s also “crappy dumb DMB names” and “the producer didn’t slap them when they started writing Dreamgirl 2.0”

Just for the love of all things why will we be subjected to Can’t Stop until the sun burns out of the sky.

BKDKDKDD seems like it was named after Rashawn accidentally sitting on the keyboard and Dave said “Fuck it, track 9.”

I'm at a 7, I would love to hear Roi in the studio again, he was always so smooth and organic with his playing. Hope they do him justice and he is included on multiple tracks.
The lack of Bismarck is befuddling like others have said... I don't know how a band can hate their own best music.
I'm Glad both Virginia In the Rain AND Death on the High Seas didnt make the cut, those two are so bland and coma inducing i would likely fall asleep... one is okay i guess...
For the most part I've enjoyed what they cane do in the studio, hopefully the tracks are layered and deep with some secondary percussion or fills.
What I am leery about is the different producers and how that may affect the style, depths and soundscape of the songs.

Maybe they took a page from Roxanne by The Police?

That key-mash garbage has to be Be Yourself, right? I mean, I’m fairly certain we’re also getting that piece of shit on this one and that’s got to be it. Awesome track-list-release troll-job on the fanbase

Doesn't he say "be yourself" like 75 times in Be Yourself? Seems like Be Yourself would be a great title for a song in which you say "be yourself" 75 times.

It has to be. Any other song that has been asked about we have gotten confirmation it didn’t make the album. All except Be Yourself.

Yeah, honestly the first thing I thought when I saw that title was that it was Be Yourself, but it really doesn’t stand up to scrutiny. There’s no reason that they’d change the name to that. And even if I end up being wrong about that, I’ll still say that it makes no sense.

Man, they've done worse and dumber. Let's not raise the bar too much.

No argument, I just can’t come up with any reason for it. If the band decided that that song was good enough to include it on the album, they’re not going to change the already known name unless it’s been significantly overhauled. And I’ll leave the door open for that possibility, but if it’s just Be Yourself as we already know it, changing the name to that nonsense will be quite possibly the dumbest, most inexplicable thing they’ve done.
