The lack of official info is annoying yet at the same time has me checking for updates over and over so I guess I would call it a fun ride.

It may suck, but hell Ill take a few weeks of this feeling before it all potentially comes crashing down.

Yeah, that’s pretty much where I am. I have practically no expectation that I'm going to end up enjoying most of this album, but this lead-up has done a good job of piquing my interest, or at least curiosity.

Without many official details, a tracklisting, album name, etc I have felt a little bit in the dark and less optimistic. I felt mixed about the Batson news - some of it was exciting to hear (despite the source) and then part of me was thinking "WTF are they doing?"

I'm at a 4.

Sure if you only like 4 of the new songs, and they release 20 songs, there are going to be 16 that aren't your favorites. That's just math. I couldn't possibly believe that Bismarck and Virginia in the Rain aren't somewhere on this. Those are my two that I'll be really disappointed if they aren't. We knew about Bismarck beforehand? Was that one of the ones that had sheet music? I know Bob Law was. I gotta think what had sheet music has to be close to a lock.

Bismark, Bob Law, and Here On Out had the sheet music we saw in that IG post a while back.

Just because we saw sheet music from a session musician 3 years ago doesn’t mean any of those tunes are close to a “lock.” Just trying to be realistic here. Remember what band we’re talking about.

Hell, I'm not 100% positive we're getting a new album until I see it officially announced

Bismarck is a really good song IMO. I have a hard time getting into Bob Law, but Bismarck is a song that I continually enjoy listening to.

A studio Bismarck is something definitely relevant to my interests.

The rest of the new tunes range somewhere between ďmehĒ and ďkill with fireĒ for me, but Bismarck feels to me like the first time since Ď04 that the early Ď00s Dave has reared his head.

Agree on Bismark. It's definitely the high end of the newer crop of songs and would probably be a nice studio track. I don't really care for Bob Law but if it ends up on the album just please change that name, it's beyond stupid.

i went with 8. it is always exciting to get new DMB music and i am hopeful it is going to be a good mix of songs, old and new, just don't want to get over excited to be let down if it isn't what i was hoping for.

Totally agree. Though I hope it doesn't get compressed and tightened like what happened to the studio version of Beach Ball.

I'll say a 5. Kind of interested, but don't want to get to hyped up about it. If I get to hyped, I'll most likely be disappointed. I haven't posted too much in that other thread either.

Honestly a 10.

If I'm disappointed, I'm disappointed. Being exciting for this thing has been fun.
