I still think it's much more likely ants closes this show more than anything else. Ideally and realistically, this would be a phenomenal show, and am going in hoping for something similar:

Yea, way earlier. Since Crash came out most likely, but definitely since ddtw was played every night 98 onward.

My disappointment started in '14. I was happy with '12 and '13 ('12 fall tour was disappointing outside of a few shows though)

I don't remember much negativity between 2008-2013. There were people who didn't like the rock sound very much or the BW material. But in 2012-13 the primary complaint I remember was AFTW not getting enough play. And when diehards are mostly complaining that there isn't enough NEW stuff being played, that's a pretty good place to be. I feel like things around here went way downhill in 2014, and especially when the Lovely Ladies came back.

And people complained about the covers (def not me, though).

But overall, I agree 3.0 was generally well received until the ladies came back in mansfield '14. That was kindof when people started to turn.

I'm on board with this. 2008 was one of my favorite years following the band.

2009 was ok, 2010 is kinda forgettable for me. 2011 with the caravans was different but ok. 2012 was awesome for me. 13 meh, 14/15 really underwhelming.

But, as I've said a few times, I'm still optimistic about this summer and I'm really looking forward to my two shows. The break will be good for everyone and I hope it opens the door for d/t d/f next year.

Dave and Friends will never happen again. Book it.

They're all at different stages in their lives now. It was a brief side project and never meant to be anything more.

Glad I was there to watch them jump the shark.

I do remember a fair amount of hate in late '09 and most of '10 because of the heavy BW play every show. Pales in comparison to the '14-'15 hate though I think.
