Correct, it was a long (time wise) main set.

Jimi as an opener would be hot.

Jimi opening is a great idea.

It opened an electric set at a show I saw back in 14. It was refreshing to hear it "early" in the set. [Only registered users can see links.]

Other than the closer and a few other ones, that's actually a decent little set.

Jimi opened my first show 4/18/98. Always liked it as an opener.

Do we know if any of these shows are being recorded? Dreamingtree doesn't have any 2019 shows posted.

I think it'll likely be few and far between. Last time they toured Europe, if I remember correctly, someone borrowed Mike Peters' gear and hit a bunch of shows. I don't think that's the case this year.

Hell just having Jimi earlier in the set is an improvement in most cases.

I have a feeling its actually a difficult song for them to open up with. The horns would need to be fully warmed up. I dont know the technical stuff behind playing a wind/brass instrument but perhaps theres something to do with that.

also, i recognize seek up has a big solo section at the start but for some reason this feels different.

Point is, i could just see them making this excuse and people taking it as reasonable.

They play Seek Up just as hard if not harder than Jimi. I highly doubt this is the case.

There may be a taper at a random show or two but nobody that I know of was hitting up this tour. I was initially going to tape Paris/UK but work/life got in the way.
