Who is making the decisions there? From the track selection to the wording of the announcement, it's just awful. I've been a member since 2002 and it's gone steadily downhill and we're left with a broken ticketing system and tone-deaf releases. (and I'm not even a bitter "hardcore" fan)

I spent over a month trying to get my email address updated on the WH store site. (There is no way to do this online.) I was bounced back and forth between the WH and WH store and given wrong information, attitude, and told I'd be helped and then ignored. Repeatedly. Finally I gave up and emailed them both and said I was just going to create a new store account. This shouldn't have been difficult.

Seriously trying to remember what the last live release was that I actually was excited about...

Yikes.
They should have somebody from your site be involved with these decisions. They can still have full control, because they probably wont give that up. It would be nice to have an outside voice sit in on these discussions so we don't end up with a complete failure of a release that we just got

They replied that my feedback was forwarded on to the team.

I politely mentioned the death of DMBlive, no full band Live Trax from the 90s in over two years, ignoring BTCS anniversary and that the fan club specifically was not the target of this release as through all of that, we said "at least we have the fan club disc each year." Also that I understood there might be extenuating circumstances but that we just had a 2018 release that included a sampler, another 2018 on the way for tickets, and readily available ton of Sirius and youtube shows from the tour.

They only know if they know. If you aren't happy, send polite feedback.

If I had to guess, and I know nothing, the order to use 2018 and have it be one disc probably came from above, then at that point you end up with the same shorter songs that are generally crowd pleasing to balance out longer tracks.

It just seemed like we took a huge step forward with last year's discs that were in the works long before the Boyd situation obviously. Add this disc to the top 5 DMB-related things Boyd has ruined up there with 6.24.03.

Listening to some of these tracks on tape.

Hello Again is a killer version, #27 is decent, OSW is meh, YMDT is standard, and this Everyday is absolute trash.

I'm just confused now about how this works. It seems they are avoiding releases with Boyd, yet one of the two Live Trax releases last year did have Boyd on it. Can they release Boyd stuff or not? Are they just going all in on pushing the new lineup? Aside from being frustrating it's just plain weird.

Not only that, but it's going to be overkill to the point where it turns many people off/away.

So, does this mean that there is a conscious decision to avoid releasing tracks featuring Boyd? They aren't exactly setting a track record to refute that. What a kick in the nuts to the fanbase if that's the case.

Safe to assume that it was in the works. They were probably waiting to do the 2018 after the tour for the Christmas release, had this one in the works and instead of giving us nothing, just proceeded with it.

I'd imagine Lillywhite gets royalties from a re-release.....wonder if there's more bad blood between him and Dave/the band and they're basically just saying "fuck him, it's not worth it?"

How would it be different from Crash 2 years earlier? Nothing major happened in those two years to not reissue just to spite him...

There's been talk about comments Dave made when speaking about AFTW during Come Tomorrow promotion and the total lack of hearing those songs live the last year.....plus LW's spat with Stefan on Twitter. Just wild speculation, but still, thought it might be worth speculating about.

Yeah, but they re-released both UTTD and Crash.

Yeah, I guess. That doesn't seem serious enough to not make money on their most critically acclaimed album just to rid him of a cut. LW's spat was like 3 weeks ago.
