I always felt like you can't listen to 8/11/02 without listening to 8/10/02 as well, and vice versa. And I don't think you can say the same with EVERY two/three night stand, only a handful come to mind, but this is definitely one of them. Two really great shows.

A little bit behind, but I've listened to bits and pieces of 8/11.

This Seek Up slays. The Roi, Carter, and Butch combo was so incredible. That and this KKJ are really the crown jewel of this show. Going to finish up listening to this one today.

I'll be re-listening to this one this afternoon. This show was my last trip to Bethel Woods, I let my friend drive because I wasn't wrapping MY car around or putting a deer through it. I had second row upper level tickets, which seemed like the standard for me in 2012....the opening run was fantastic, closing run was disappointing and encore was a crowd pleaser that helped us beat the traffic.

It really is a monster right up until the horns just HAVE to play during Dave's wail. I can't count how many performances were close to perfect from 2009 - 2017, only missing the mark, in my opinion, because the horns as a section cluttered a solo from another member or Rashawn just squealed his way right outta the gate or negated his entire solo by honking a crescendo.

Thank fucking god this was scaled down in 2018 and hopefully continues to be minimal in 2019.

I adore this show as a 2012 one. Even the old Can't Stop has Kraz and Horns on it so its got some meat on its bones. 2012 is an underrated tour imo. Gonna pop that Bethel one into my library.

8/11 wrap up.
Overall a rating of ***1/2 - a great Seek Up, KKJ, Proudest (unique version), LIOG (mostly for Butch, Boyd sounds just ok), Jane, etc. Fonz is tremendous on his Watchtower intro as well.

So what's next since 3.0 doesn't fly here?

3.0 flies here. People can participate or not depending on the show. I’ll pick something like the last one. An older under the radar selection.
