I think this was actually a better show than the last one I saw, which was 2012 in Bristow.

Seven
Eh Hee
Proudest Monkey
Satellite
So Damn Lucky
Mercy
So Right
Sweet
Jimi Thing
Spaceman >
Cornbread
If Only
Rhyme & Reason
Gaucho
What Would You Say
Don't Drink The Water
-
Warehouse
Grey Street

The crowd around me was reasonably similar that night, but the set started mellow and obscure, so the show may as well not have even started until Jimi Thing. People sang along with Satellite, but it wasn't enough to build any momentum, and there was some excitement at the So Right jam, but that was immediately kneecapped with Sweet. Jimi Thing through the end was better in terms of crowd response (only Gaucho really shut them down; people were pretty into If Only, given that it was new) but the first half of that show was really frustrating.

Last night, Satellite, TGIY and Bayou got pretty much everyone excited early on, and Sledgehammer was also a big hit with the crowd around me, which made for a more enjoyable experience overall.

Great reaction there from Dave. Pretty cool.

Definitely would have enjoyed a few others. Not a great set by any means, but some.good stuff here and there. A YNK opener is not to be taken lightly as well

I enjoyed it. My last show was PNC Bank Center in Holmdel NJ in July, which was a disaster of a set. I was so disappointed in that so last night was a step up.

Is this a real post? That was a great show and one of the best sets of the tour.

What didn’t you like about that set? Looking back it looks fine to me other than time bomb

Was gonna say, that was a great show, and one for which I don’t mind admitting I traveled 700 miles...

Was DC taped?

I was there and thought I saw 1 taper, but it was close to the stage and might have just been one of their mics.

Yes. The stand was in the 100s just on the side of pit area.

Ron Powell taped DC, and also taped Charlottesville. Ron was generous enough to bring his stand, so I didn't have to fly from Indy with mine.

I'm sure he got an excellent tape given the location he described, plus a Neumann KM184s tape to boot if I remember correctly! Good stuff!

It took some rallying, but we got every Winter Tour show taped in the end, and we no doubt have a new taper in Zachary to help next summer.

All of that took place here on TDC late this summer when my shows were done, and I offered to mentor anyone who wanted to get started, and offered to loan my gear for use to anyone who wanted to give it a serious effort. Very happy that it all worked out!

If anyone is hitting International shows in the spring, my gear is available. Noam Yemini borrowed it and covered nearly the entire International tour a few years back.

I download and listen to every show too. Thanks so much to Mike and all the tapers. I don't know what I would have done the last 25 years without you!

So this one was indeed taped, but has a tape been posted yet? I haven't seen one.

Trying to clean up my collection on a ice cold MLK day off!

Yep, it was definitely taped, but the tape isn't out yet. You know Kim will post a link to her folder in this thread when it's out!
