So I gave this a listen over the weekend. There really is nothing about this show that is unique and worthy of repeated listenings...

Captain is alright and Sugar Will has a nice moment in the jam, but otherwise...why?

Bring on LT44!!!

Shipping should literally never take this long.

I still don't have mine.

it is pretty unremarkable. Unfortunate release.

Actually, this is unfair. It is worth a listen, but there will be few tracks that will bring you back for more. Captain does seem slowed and to have more of a LWS feel to it. Too Much is cool. SW and CE are fine, and I’ll always take another sbd of each, but we have far better versions. The HA is not good, though.

A decade wait for another '04 release and all I'm hearing is a resounding "meh"

That's really too bad. Hope the next one is better. See ya in 2027.

It was a lackluster choice. A lot of people on here actually really enjoy the release and I'd take this show over a bunch of other stuff. The main complaint is just that there are much better shows from the year they could have picked...but that's pretty much always the case.

They have to keep some of the absolute classics in the vault or they'll have nothing to keep the hardcores hanging on the ropes for years. We really can't complain...we just got 3.13.99 and 12.21.02 both absolute classic top 25 shows and much wanted for years. I can handle another year or so of random sub-par releases now.

I Did It is such a weird part of DMB history. I honestly wouldn't mind getting it at my next DMB show. It's almost like they know it's kind of a joke. And for a single, it's become this rare oddity.

It's so jarring on this release after that Too Much

In 2015, I got "I Did It" for the first time in 8 years. Not even remotely joking, I enjoyed the hell out of it. It was a 3-minute piece of oddly nostalgic fun, and I loved what Tim was adding. Here's that same version:

I'd take it over:

Sister
Where Are You Going
Time Bomb
Out of My Hands
Dreamgirl
Hunger

probably a few others.

My sentiments exactly. The songs you expect to be good (too much, sugar will) are and everything else is run of the mill. Mix sounds flat to me.

Absolutely. I love the faster tempo bridge that Roi was doing around this time as opposed the when it later slowed down.

They totally recognize it's a joke at this point. Any song with a ten second Boyd rap has to be a joke.

I like that intro before Dave hits the opening riff.

He does sound great on Captain. I love this version. BT, Roi, and Fonz all have some unique playing in the intro.
