Soulive New CD, New Sound - "No Place Like Soul"

Soulive has finally begun promotion with their new CD!!! They are now part of the rebirth of the legendary label "STAX". In good company with lengendary acts such as Booker T and the MG's, Isaac Hayes, Otis Redding, and many more. They have taken a mature step with their music with new addition to the band Toussaint on vocals. Not just a special guest folks, an official new memeber of the Band making them a Quartet!

I think the "New" Soulive sounds amazing. I kind of have a request for someone who is feeling ambitious. I was wondering if somone can rip the new songs off of Myspace.com so I can burn them on a CD. Or at least tell how I can do it.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Oh, and the new CD comes out July 31, 2007!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure there is another way to do it, but you can just download audacity and play the song while recording

There are samples of this new sound available? I am curious because there sound for the past couple years has been bad IMO. I loved these guys from like 99-02...actually up to shortly before they got dropped from Blue Note.

edit: I see they have a full time vocalist now...ugh.

Good god, this sounds fucking terrible. Its sad to watch the self-destruction of one of my favorite bands. I guess by being part of the DMB community, I am part of 2 self-destructing bands. It it were only 2000 again for both

That's it exactly. Get Down, Turn It Out, and Soulive were all awesome. Doin' Something was ok. After that, everything has been terrible. I cannot understand how they could want to turn into this cliche, shitty R&B-ish band. There hasn't been another band that I've really dug the same way that use to dig Soulive. I'm still hopeful that Lettuce will do something to make up for the shit that Soulive has become (anyone have any news on Lettuce?). Oh well. This happens. I can't say I blame the band. I would probably also go where the money trail leads me as well.

Lettuce . I just picked up Live in Tokyo a couple weeks ago. I've only had a few listens, but it's great (and no, I have no news).

Live in Tokyo is freakin' fantastic. Even Outta Here, the studio album, is REALLY good. For anyone who hasn't checked out Lettice, but likes old school Soulive, I HIGHLY suggest buying/grabbing both of their albums. There are some shows of theirs on the Archive as well.
