MP3 Player No. 8: With these requirements, what would you suggest?

I need a new large capacity MP3 player to replace my iRiver H10 20 GB, which I've maxed out. I'm looking for something that has features identical, or at least similar, to my H10.

The major requirements for my new player are:

1. It must have the ability to do drag and drop transfers (MTP/UMS), while being able to maintain tag information (I don't want to use 3rd party software, like iTunes or WMP, to add music).
2. It must support searching by ID3 tags (must be able to browse through my ID3 tags instead of having to browse through the way I arrange my folders).
3. At least 40GB of storage. I'd like to get something in the range of 40-60GB. My iRiver H10 was a 20 GB player, but I need a lot more with my growing music collection.
4. NO IPODS

The not-so-major requirements:

1. Large screen. I'm loking at spending somewhere in the area of $200-$300, but if the capacity starts getting higher, and I like the features, I'd be willing to go up to, but not over $400.
2. Video playback in MPEG and WMV formats.

Replacement players I've tested as H10 replacements, only to be disappointed and return:

-Microsoft Zune (30 GB)
-Creative Zen Vision:M (30 GB)
-iAudio X5 (60 GB)

Any information/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Zach

i'd go to china/Korea and pick up something poorly made and cheap. (perhaps those oh so common ipod knock-offs). they will support the things you want, you just may not be happy with the UI / design of the player.

(i'm in no way stating that products made in china / korea are inferior products to ours. they just happen to have really poorly made mp3 players available there)

Exactly. It really gives you the best options. It seems like you have tries everything else, I can't even think of any that you didn't list. It seems like the ipod may be your best option.

Well, I guess you can still use ID3 tag info with iTunes/iPods. An iPod might be my only option for a larger capacity player. I'm just not quite sold on wanting/having to use iTunes.

fwiw: i wasn't being sarcastic, i was being honest.

There is a linux app that works with the ipod called amarok. could be used as an alternative to iTunes, tho iTunes is the best program imo for music organization.

itunes is the best program out there to organize your music. one of my friends was a real holdout on the whole itunes situation, but eventually he caved and now he loves it.
