That's too bad. I rarely ever seriously splurge like that for a show, gotta be just the right act for me to do it, otherwise I feel like there's a lot of great music you can see live far cheaper.

A DMB show actually was one of my bigger regrets from a concert expense standpoint. In '12 me and my buddy were going out to Red Rocks for a couple shows and DMB announced the AFTW release show at Hollywood Bowl like a few weeks before. We rearranged our flights so we could do Hollywood then fly to CO, got a hotel next to the Staples center and pretty good tix for the show. And it was pretty terrible. Seemed like a waste at the end of the day but at least the venue was cool

$115 per ticket is kind of crazy - that's $460 for two people at a two-night stand before fees and other expenses. I was thinking of adding Mansfield to the summer since I live like 15 minutes away, but I'm not sure it's worth it.

GA Face price for The Killers in DC last week was $200, Reserved was a little less.

I've seen U2 and Coldplay and the face price tickets were both more than $115 for anything remotely close to the stage in a stadium show.

It was wishful thinking of me to think DMB would scale it down and play less shows and longer sets. But here we are, same amount of shows so they can wipe their asses with hundos.

Arkansas
Mississippi
Syracuse
New Hampshire (2 shows again?????)
Oregon
Reno instead of Vegas?????

Not to mention 3 in Texas and New Jersey. Not necessary.

Sigh.

You really think DMB sets have been "short" though?

It's not arguing FOR it. The price is already here. I'm choosing to accept it.

Movie tickets were once $5.75.

I understand how things work.

Keep in mind that they will most likely have a Fall tour as well this year, so don't splurge all the Benjamins on summer shows.

We’re all accepting it. We don’t have to sit here and justify it for them though.

I paid $70 for GA floor seats to U2 back in September.

The RedZone floor seats in MSG when I went were $500 face.

I'm not trying to justify the increase, just saying it's not that surprising given what other acts (some on par, some more mainstream) have been charging for a while.
